Ath watch pet prices

Heads up, saw same time frame, same store two people for price check. They are comparing notes from two shoppers on a complicated price audit. Would be a lot of money to forfeit if you have a different answer than the other person.

First shop I ever did for the company was this type of covert price audit. Only did it in order to get my feet wet, and get score on the board, however, I would NEVER do it again. A truly horrible experience, even without the threat of the shop being rejected on the basis of comparative grounds. It really seemed simple, but it was anything BUT.

I attempted to do this shop at a very small local pet store this weekend and failed miserably. The store had 5 employees (I have no idea why) and each had approached me numerous times. There was nowhere to hide! They could see me clearly from anywhere in the store and they were all watching me. Also, there were SO many things on sale and so many different prices it would have taken me far longer than an hour to get them down, and I think I am a pretty fast worker. I felt absolutely awful to have to cancel the shop - I've never canceled before - but I just couldn't see any way to finish it.
TexasBeagle, my experience was very similar. In fact, I had to leave without completing the shop, but I was lucky enough to get a friend to go in and get the rest of the information I needed. I really thought a small neighborhood pet store would be easy, but, it was anything BUT! And I haven't been back there for almost a year! They had to know something was up... They're so nice, I actually felt really bad.
I have a question might be a little off topic sorry, but it's for the same company... This is the second time hearing of them the first was from an information site (MysteryShopOnline.com.) When I started Mystery Shopping I used to google alot but they never came up. Are they a newer company? I hear a great deal of bad experiences with them, that would lead me to believe their not a very good company. But does anybody have any good experiences? Another question is does anybody know if they offer shops north of the border (in Canada?)

This is an espionage assignment, and low-paying with high risk at that. Shoppers have been escorted to the door by store management, and thanked the managersmiling smiley

LOL. I agree!
I remember the purple people had a covert price audit at local convenience stores. These stores were tiny and they wanted you to price audit about 20-30 items without being noticed. All I could think of was getting the cops called by the employees because they would think I was hanging around to rob the place. I declined the shop.
I saw the pet audit. Actually there was one in a store right near where I live. I think you would be quite obvious to the store manager with all the items needing pricing.
How about if you get caught writing down the prices telling the Manager (or another Employee) that you have a child/niece/cousin in school and you're helping them with a project. And if it's during summer then tell them it's for camp project. If they want to know what school tell them their home schooled with your neighbour. Today their with your neighbour tomorrow the kids are with you which is why you need to get the prices today. Tell the employee the kids need to do adding and subtracting then sorting dog food with dog food cat food with cat food ect. Keep going on and on and on eventually the employee should back down.
