Personal information to MSC.

I was wondering if any of you have been asked to upload your drivers licence to a company. I have been joining more, and I came across one last night that needed an extended profile. The company is called A Customer Point of View. They ask for an upload of your drivers licence. I have not been asked to do this for any other companies, and wondered if any of you have been asked, and if uploading your drivers licence is ok? The company already has alot of private information. Thank you in advance for answering my question.

Not so unusual.. Some need to be assured that you are not avoiding rotation requirements by registering under different names. Some want to know that shoppers who drive to do their shops are legal drivers. Some want to verify the demographics that you have claimed so that they can assure clients that the have shoppers of the desired demographic variety.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Yes. I have when it is called for. Just always make sure it's a true company. The best way is to check the Forum here and see what the discussions are about that company.
And I would add to make sure that you are being contacted by THE mystery shopping company, and NOT a SCAM company that is POSING as a legit mystery shopping company. That happens frequently, especially sending you a large check for a job. That is definitely a scam. The BEST way to avoid that is to click on the link at the bottom of each page here on the Forum and find that MSC and apply DIRECTLY from that link. If you apply from an email link, you could possibly be giving out sensitive information to a bogus company. Not always, but it could/does happen. So please be careful!
Many experienced shoppers will be glad to offer advice and to "steer you in the right direction." Don't be afraid to ask questions!
