If there were a chance that I'd actually get offered help when I started carrying the item, I would consider doing that other one again. But it sounds like my experience is not unique. It's funny (or sad) that they're shopping that scenario when their employees never do it. Of course, they never do what they're supposed to for the furniture shop, either.@HonnyBrown wrote:

I used to like the "bulky item" shop because the bulky item doesn't have to be heavy and sure, I can wander around for 10 minutes (as with others' experience, I've NEVER been offered a cart). What blew it for me is when they added the requirement that you have to check expiration dates in 5 different aisles. (Yeah, I'm lugging around a laundry basket and I'm supposed to flip over boxes of doggie biscuits to search for an expy date that may or may not be there, then go to cosmetics and look for an expy date on skin cream that may or may not be there, etc. etc. Up yours Big Lots.)@HonnyBrown wrote:

They didn't say why, they just did it.@Isaiah4031a wrote:
Why did they add the requirement to check expire dates? If they add this, they need to up the fee.
They doubled the base fee. Didn't you notice?@Isaiah4031a wrote:

Yep. $0.00 x 2 is still $0.00!!@MisterBill wrote:

I did one today that had a fee with it. Interestingly enough, there were two 2-liter bottles of expired soda. One was Dr Pepper, that had expired on the 21st of this month. So that made me curious and I checked a nearby 2-liter bottle of Fanta orange... That one had expired May 24th, and was at the front of the line, not in the back! So I took date/time stamped pictures of each one showing the expiration dates, and uploaded them into the report.@Isaiah4031a wrote:

Only with a sizable bonus, and only the furniture version (which doesn't require you to carry an item or look for expired stuff). But you probably already figured that out.@jamgablee wrote:
Came here to find out if these shops are worth trying...sounds like it's a no.

I don't do it for less than $12.@jamgablee wrote:
Right now it's a $5 and I have the opportunity to MAO. I'm still kind of a noob in the game so idk how high I should shoot lol
Have you gotten $20 in the past? I think I might have gotten $15, maybe I should have asked for that. Next time I can try going big.@wrosie wrote:
I got a furniture shop for $20 but my MAO of $20 for the other store in the area was denied.
There's a shop near where I will be on Thursday, so I asked for $20. If they don't give it to me, no big deal. I'm going to be with my wife, and she hates BL (but maybe this other store is better than my local store).@wrosie wrote:
I got the $20 at the one location and it was the first time I did any shop at that location.
I never did any shops at the second location where the $20 offer was denied..
