CPAP shop, anyone ever do one?

I've got a shop where they want me to go into a medical device store and buy a CPAP machine. Says it can be shipped under the scenario for yourself or someone else.

Anyone else ever do one of these before? I feel like you'd need a decent back story and knowledge to walk in and say...sell me a CPAP machine.

Is this something people often but with out an referral from a clinician?

Its a decent outlay for the reimbursement and involves a shipment back to the msc or client (unsure which). But I don't often see +$100 fees on my boards

Very common purchase for people with sleep apnea. Don't need a doctor's order.

A Cpap machine does require a Doctors prescription and an overnight sleep study is also usually required before the dr. orders a Cpap for their patient.

what company is doing these? A friend needs one of these.

I have sleep apnea. In Florida you need a prescription and doctors notes so they can set the pressure according to the results of your sleep study.

Sure if you stop breathing at night you just have the pressure set up too high and then never wake up because you blew your lungs out or too low and you suffocated. That was part of the problems they were having with multiply people on ventilators besides not having enough of them.

And I also thought it was a crapshoot just like shops that you have been doing for a while and then discover when you are filling out the report they have changed a lot of things. Oh and I woke up after my quad bypass with one of those things on my face. Then I remembered that Alien was a movie.
