eCommerce Shops

These shops have me so very frustrated. I self assigned a bunch of them.

After searching the beauty store website for something I could use and within reimbursement, I placed it in my cart. The store did not offer curbside pick up. Cancelled.

I was on the phone all day with the Happy Face Store only to find out that the locations I will be shopping do not offer curbside or deliver. The scheduler changed it to in store pick up.

I have 6 more stores to deal with for this weekend.

The ones I did had a super easy report. I’m glad I grabbed them during the brief time they were on the board.
It's good to know that the reports are easy considering how much time I am spending on ordering the items.

I never, ever thought I would say this: I am sick of shopping.

ETA: there was a shop for WaWa and I missed it! I seriously would have grabbed every single one in a 20 mile radius. I am going to stalk the board for flakes.

Sometimes it happens that we do not get our delivery on time and for this so many reasons are responsible, sometimes, the time factor, sometimes climatic condition or pandemic situation, but this is also true that it is e-commerce website who play a big role in reaching to us apart from all obstacles. We all love shopping and doing online shopping is one of the comfortable and easiest ways of it.
Like with the similar shops offered on Presto I’m thinking there is a limit on the shops being conducted on each merchant, so national chains show up as “scheduled” long before smaller regional ones which are staying on the board. Also a few of mine got cancelled by the scheduler shortly after I self-assigned.
Some shops that I canceled because they didn't offer pickup are back on the board, so beware...
There IS a limit:

"This is an INSTANT SELF ASSIGN Shop. By submitting this form, you are agreeing to perform this Shop. There is a limit of 50 shops per individual for this round of shops."
Yes, but what I meant is that there may be a limit on the number of shops per merchant being assigned to the general shopper population. For example, let's say there's a sporting goods store with 1000 locations nationwide. Although all locations initially show up as available, once 100 locations have been assigned, all of the other ones become unavailable.
A shop I had planned yesterday didn't offer curbside so I had to cancel it.

I have two shops tomorrow and four on Sunday...YIKES!

Oh, I can buy TP!

I self-assigned several of the convenience stores. I went in to download and register and it said my cell phone was already registered. I tried every email I have ever had and every combination of used passwords and nothing clicked. I could find no place to recover the account so I finally gave up and canceled the shops. I really hated to do that.
Add me to the list. Took an in-store pickup shop at a prominent East Coast supermarket, went on the website, pickup not available at this store. Sigh.
It looks like they threw up a bunch of locations to see which ones would stick! And left it to the innocent (and unpaid) shopper to figure things out.
I cancelled one for a large grocery chain that was just annoying. Website said they had pick-up one place, but the location did not show up for pick up when I tried to select a time/location.

I am doing one today at my local grocery store that I know has pick up. It's the first time I'm doing pick up and truthfully, I'd much rather do my own shopping in the store. I guess it serves a purpose, but I'm too fussy with my groceries and prices, I guess. I enjoy food shopping and like to pick my own produce and get weekly deals. I had to order a few days ahead to get the time slot for today so I don't know what prices they will charge me..last week's or this week's? Whatever...it was nice to try it out and I am already familiar with their website/app.

At two locations yesterday the store tracked my car via their app so when I pulled into the parking lot the associate was standing there with my groceries.

Unfortunately another location has a $30 pickup min (and the place is so overpriced it's not worth it) so I'll have to cancel.

I will say that the scheduler for this program is exceedingly responsive, replying to all my questions and requests within seconds, even on nights/weekends.
These shops were released a few days ago in my area. I swear that every time I stepped away from the computer another store was added to the MSP website and locations were snapped up before I could sit back down!

I've been having some success with these shops, especially the grocery shops. I found it annoying though that the type of pick-up (in-store, delivery, curbside) is not listed on the name of the shop. I would have to do a lot of clicking in order to find if I wanted the shop or not. For example - If the store is a distance from my house but near where I'm shopping that day, I would do a curbside because delivery would not happen for my residence.

I also could not find them on the regular board for that site and only found them when going to the classic board, which I hardly do. I almost missed them!

I did a convenience store delivery but did it through the app. This caused me not to be able to see which store I was ordering from. Had to call customer service to figure out. Then I had to cancel the original shop and was lucky enough to find a delivery shop for the convenience store it was actually coming from. That was a learning curve so I am not picking up more of those.

I'm also staying away from the shops that have a pick-up or delivery charge. That was cutting too much into my profits and only ended up making the delivery charge free but hardly put a dent into what I was reimbursed for the actual groceries.

I am stocked up for the month though with some money to offset what I spent. Overall - a win!
Good point about the convenience store delivery shops. Does the final receipt list the originating store? If not I don’t see how the MSC would even be able to verify the originating store.
I was able to complete five shops total: 4 grocery stores and one apparel. The apparel shop was the last one and the smoothest.

I did 6 curbside shops at convience stores they were super easy I wish I would have signed up for more
There are a whole bunch of coffee restaurants posted today. These should be okay as most of the locations are offering pickup.
For the delivery shops, you have to make sure that the zip code the items are being delivered to match the city for the shop.

You also have to make sure the store is not using a third party delivery service. My grocery store shop got rejected due to this and I had to return the items.

You could not just keep what you bought? The store now has to salvage everything that you returned.
I did not think the groceries through. I bought a 15 pound hunk of meat, a cucumber and some riced cauliflower. I didn't need the meat so I returned it.

So that meat went into the trash. Shame.
I'm pretty sure any experienced mystery shopper has contributed to food waste at one time or another. There's no need to shame another forum member. The point was to be cautious so the shop doesn't get rejected, which is useful intel for all of us.
SCM is a vegan type. Meat shaming goes with her whatever.

Trust me, I am not offended.

It has nothing to do with that. Any type of food that you bought and returned would have had to go into the trash. So the store takes the loss because of your mistake. That Is a shame.

It’s the same as when a shopper doesn’t leave a decent tip for the server because the shop won’t cover it.
But, wait! This could have been like one of those food shows where the chef is given random items to make a meal out of. What could be with a 15 lb cut of meat, a cucumber, and riced cauliflower?

Kim
What kind of meat was it, anyway?
