WaWa Shops Are Back!

The app works much better if you turn the Wi-Fi off on your phone (not use Wawa's Wi-Fi) and use your own cell data.

Tanya is back!

I signed up for a curbside shop that was due a week ago. I explained to the replacement scheduler that curbside was not an option in the app. She extended the date. Rinse and repeat.

I received a reminder from Tanya. I let her know what was happening. Instead of extending the date, she told me how to get paid for the shop.

I got into the same problem a few days ago. The curbside pick up was not available for one location. The pick up from the store was available but my scenario was curbside pick up. I am still in touch with editor. I am spending more time for explanation what has happened than I spent at the outside of such Wawa.

The editor keeps asking me to try again. I ended up cancelling.

I have done two shops recently with the app. The first time, I was supposed to pick up the order inside. After I watched my quesadilla getting cold, I finally had to ask. The cashier had not gotten my bottle of soda because she was too busy. Without asking, I would never have gotten the order. then there was an issue submitting the report because they just handed me the loose items without the required sealed bag or attached receipt.

The second one was curbside. After 10 minutes, you are allowed to go inside. I waited 13 minutes. The sealed bag was sitting on the counter near the cashier who told me that everyone was too busy to have brought it out to me.

I generally like Wawa, but when asked as part of the report if I would personally use the app in the future for inside pickup or curbside in the future, I emphatically said no. I had to score them. Alas, negative numbers were not an option.

They are so understaffed, it's showing. The ones that I shop have signs saying they offer sign on bonuses and 1 free hoagie per shift.

You should not cancel it. Eventually I got $5 fee. Editor asked me to do it again (it was not an option for me since the location was far away. The only reason I picked it that I was in the area in that day). Actually to go back was not worth to do: I saw from my home via app that curbside is not available for this location.

I just looked at the instructions for regular shops I have scheduled for this Thursday and Friday. I did not see any changes. Can someone tell me what I missed?

some extra pictures and extra explanations about cold/hot items.

I also emailed scheduler and she said I can use coupons that are from the app.

Well, I may end up very surprised when it is time to do the reports, but to me, the requirements look the same. Two photos, one of the receipt and one of the built-to-order item. The timing questions are the same, as are the questions about the preparation and temperature of the food item ordered.

The requirements for photos of excess trash (potentially 2) were new at the beginning of August.

I did a WaWa shop today specifically so I could get the pasta for dinner. Only the burger is allowed as one of the options. I got my usual club sandwich and used my WaWa gift card for the pasta.

did anyone pick any mobile Wawa's today? They usually coming on Fridays

Burgers are legal now so I tried one. I didn't realize how big they are or I wouldn't have gotten a double cheeseburger. That'll be my new go-to whenever possible, i.e. after 4 PM. Best FF burger around, at least in my area.
panama, try the pasta. I was disappointed to see it is not on the acceptable list of shop items. It is so darn good.

The Gobbler is back and it’s not even October.
yes the regulars were coming on Thursday for next week and curbside /store pick up were on Fridays for next week. But today nothing pops for next weeks. Just few regular dropouts for the this weekends. Curbside /store pick up were likely on trail. They all disappeared.

Love those! My nearest WaWa is almost 30 miles away, but I'm going to be in that area for 2 days next month, and I'm hoping I can grab a shop. Actually, I'd probably drive from here to there on a shop to get one!

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
Still waiting for next week's Wawa's to be posted
Send Tanya an email to find out when they will be posted. She is very responsive.

I'm so burned out on WaWa food, I didn't even check for next week.

Is Wawa the name of the place, or is it code for something else? I've never heard of it in Texas.
Wawa is the name. They are not in Texas.
Wawa is based in Wawa, Pennsylvania. Wawa is an Ojibwe (an American Indian tribe in the Delaware Valley area) word meaning Canada Goose. Wawa uses a silhouette of a Canada Goose as its logo. Wawa operates in the mid-Atlantic states (NJ south to Virginia) plus Florida. The first Florida stores opened in 2012 and there are already 70 stores there.

WaWa is the actual name of a Philly based convenience store that is making a presence in other states. They aren't in Texas.

Fun fact: WaWa is a normal word for Philadelphians!
