New LJS shops

Do you have a smartphone? If you do, you can show the coupon on your phone and they should accept it. But is there a coupon for savings on platters right now? I thought the one I used expired this past Sunday. The ones available this week that I can find (on their website and in an email) are for "2 can dine for $9.99" and "$5 off 8 piece family meal".

I've never had the clams before, but I like the fish and the chicken is pretty good as well. They used to have good "Taco Tuesday" sales where the fish tacos would be only $0.99 or something like that, but they haven't had that for a few years I think. I've never had a wrap from LJS before, I didn't even know that was an offering in the past.

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving as well!

Yes I do!! I am not sure but it seem liked when I checked the web site not to long ago I saw one. If I am not mistaken the two can dine is either for 2 3 Piece check meals or 2 2 Pc Fish meals or one of each.

I remember their Taco Tuesdays.. In my area that also had cheese sticks

I want to try an Captain D's sometimes. Now I am in the mood for fish
I did one last week, but only after they went from $0 fee to paying $5 and a $12 reimbursement. You have to take pictures of the menu board, look for certain promotional signs around the menu board order your choice of platter. Wait for fo the cashier to ask you if you want a drink and if he or she does, then you reveal yourself as a mystery shopper and congratulate them on winning a golden ticket for a $20 GC for mentioning adding a drink. The casher and the manager will get a GC mailed to them. It's super easy and I like their food. Unfortunately, my cashier didn't ask about the drink so she didn't get a GC. On a good note, I didn't' have to reveal myself as a shopper.

The fee is up to $10 here. There was a Make An Offer but I didn't bother because I was hungry and wanted food now. I'm at the office working and the shop was 11-2 and 6 blocks away. I self-assigned, read the guide, printed the golden ticket, and headed over. I got an internet coupon $2 off a platter, good through 11/30.

I got there at 11:05 hungry. Took a photo of the menu board and ordered a Fish and Chicken Platter, $9.29. Three chicken, two fish, hush puppies and two sides. I got mac and cheese and green beans. She asked if I wanted to add anything to my order, but did not specifically suggest a drink, so no golden ticket. And I did not have to identify myself as a shopper. She told me the total and started to say "Please drive around ..... and I interrupted and added a large drink, $2.29. My total, after tax and coupon, was $10.37. It took less than 5 minutes. Report took 5 minutes and the food was good.
Does it have to be an large drink or can it be small? Also can we make special request like no salt fries or no ice in the drink?

Sounds like an easy shop
It can be a small drink. I just got a large because I was so far under the reimbursement because of the coupon. I didn't see anything in the guidelines about not asking for special orders or no ice in the drink. It was very easy with a short report.
I got a small drink when I completed my shop. I could have gotten a larger drink size, because I also had a $2 off coupon, so I was under reimbursement. But I do not like Pepsi products, lol. If it was Coke products, then I probably would have at least gotten a medium size Diet Coke. The small size was unexpectedly small...what I would have thought was a kid size. But I guess being in America, we've become "used to" excessively large portion sizes, especially for fast food.

I've only done a few "reward/reveal" shops in all my time mystery shopping, but I have yet to have a "success", which makes me kind of sad. I'd like to reward the employees if they do a good job. At least this shop doesn't require a reveal if the shop is unsuccessful. I did a couple reward/reveal shops for another MSC, and those required a reveal even if they "failed", which always made me feel awkward and a little bad for the employees. Most of the time they did a great job customer-service-wise...they just didn't use the exact upsell or mention the specific product, so they couldn't be given the prize.
I know some shops you can't make any special request while some shops you can. I usually drink water when I go out.. Unless it is an combo meal I will get sweet tea. But when I go to the movies I have to get me an DP.

I have never done a reveal shop/rewards shop before. I would like to, but most of the shops require the MSC to mail you the package and some one has to be home to sign for it. I know with this one you just have to print it out.

I have been on non shops before and the employee would ask me "Would you like anything else" Others would ask me "Would you like an piece of pie or drink with you meal"

So If they ask "Would you like an Drink" they pass.. If they say anything else they Fail? Correct

Thanks and Happy Monday
In this case, just offering you a drink is not enough. They must use the exact phrase in the guidelines.
