Anyone speak Hindi??

As you might imagine, after a few gas station audits, the cashiers have gotten to recognize me. This last time, at one of the locations, one of them, who was standing off to the side, said "secret shopper" and, of course, rushed over (after the transaction) to ask if I had a rewards card, etc. Of course, it was too late, but it was a close call. He said that, next time, he's going to say it in "Indian," which I'm guessing is Hindi.

So, my question: can anyone give me serviceable Hindi translations and transliterations for "mystery shopper" and "secret shopper"?

Edit: Duh, I know there are translation web sites, but they tend to lose nuance.

You are taking pictures in a gas station. They know you're a mystery shopper.

There are plenty of translation apps/programs. I see people using them often and have had gas station employees ask me to speak into their phone for a translation.

I think what you're asking is how to say those words in Hindi, so that you know if the employees are on to you next time? Is that right?

Yes, I thought my post would double as an earnest request and an interesting story.
Interesting story. But even if someone tips off the cashier out loud that I am the secret shopper, and the cashier ask for the rewards card at the appropriate time, I have to give them credit.
You mentioned he said he would speak Indian. That doesn't necessarily say/mean Hindi. I have many friends from India and they speak a variety of languages. They could be speaking Gujarati, Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, or Telugu. I had Indian friends in school and they all spoke different languages. I picked up a few words from each language and there could be so many combinations of words that they could be using for terms like secret and shopper. Good luck!

Click the link below and in the table on this page - right-hand side under the heading "Hindi" - click the speaker icon and you can hear how "secret shopper" sounds in Hindi.

This can help you recognize the word when they say it. If there are other words you want to know, just change the left-hand side of the table under English.

My Spanish speaking has paid off well in mystery shopping. I have never had an experience like yours at the gas station, but I have overheard some things the staff did not think I understood. (not shopper related).

Not sure I follow. If they're audits, why do you care if they know? You're auditing. Do you mean mystery shop? (I guess the term "unrevealed audit" exists but to me that's just a mystery shop.)

I'd also say that if it's a mystery shop and you see the same guy again, knowing that he's on to you, it doesn't really matter what language he says it in, English, Hindi, Swahili, Esperanto or Pig Latin. He's on to you and will sound the alarm. I might avoid that location for a while.

I do CK mystery shop/reveals fairly often. The first part is unrevealed and then I follow up with the audit. I do the same locations where they almost always recognize me. There is no rotation so apparently the MSC and Client are not concerned that I might be recognized. When they recognize me, there is usually a sly smile and/or wink from the Cashier as they go through their routine. Sometimes another employee will whisper something to the Cashier after recognizing me. I don't see any need to notify the MSC of this and just report what the Cashier did or did not do. Sometimes we overthink this.

Hey, if they keep paying me, I'll keep shopping.
