A Rant: I wear a mask when performing gas station shops because:
1 I care about not getting this virus
2 I care about other people possibly getting this virus from me if I'm asymptomatic
3 Our health agencies ask us to do so
4 It is required by the MSC and I am asked on the debrief afterwards if I did so.
I say this because it is not a political statement, nor am I signaling my support for one political party over another.
Since returning to mystery shopping I've worn a mask while performing shops and have been angrily confronted too many times to count of being a "snowflake", a stupid "C$%#", a "B@#$%", an effing (insert your choice of expletive noun), a C#$%tard, a D@mn Democrat, and so on and so on.
I am used to being yelled at while taking my pump photos, etc, but it has gotten crazy stupid.
I've tried to explain (in the very beginning) that I'm required to do so by the employer. They don't care what I say! Now, I just go on my way, ignoring them.
BTW, the amount had dropped off . Then, after November and especially after last week, it became worse.
I just ignore them, best as I can.
I am just very saddened by all of this anger and hostility.
