BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse

Anyone know if they are shopped anymore? Not asking for the company name, only if they are still being shopped.

I was wondering myself. I discovered BJ's when another shopper took me on a shop over 13 years ago and it made me decide to sign up to mystery shop. I've been through 4 different MSCs with them. I haven't seen them shopped since the pandemic. I've been doing their curbside on my own dime.
That's the only shop I did for no fee.

I used to do these years ago until one day when I had a late afternoon shop dine in and was the only person in the dining room. The manager came over and plopped himself down to chat with me while I ate. He told me his life story and then later told the msc he knew who the shopper was. There was not much I could do and was banned from any BJ's shop until it went to a new msc years later.
I loved those shops but they disappeared too. Hopefully they will be back when dining is fully back everywhere. The biggest number of their restaurants are in California where dining indoors has been banned for most of the past year.

I had to re-shop the bar/lunch more than once when a man picked up my tab.
I liked that shop. Easiest bar shop ever.
I used to do the bar shop so often for lunch that the bartender knew my name and we became friends.

In Carlsbad?
I haven't seen these shops for quite a while. I used to love their lunch bar shops. Decent food and good cider.
Yes in Carlsbad. He invited me to the beer dinners they had and I would stop in for lunch once in a while on my own and eat at the bar.

Nice. I did that location at lunch one day, got a peach margarita and was so drunk, I had to walk across the street to the mall to walk it off. It's a lovely area though. Can't beat it.

How's the food? What do you order? I heard their desserts are great.
Shoptastic, I like it best as a mystery shop. I personally feel their prices are on the high end but they do have great daily specials. Half off all pizza on Monday makes their expensive pizza do able. The Wednesday burger special price is great too. Beer drinkers like the fact that they make their own brews. My favorite is their bottomless soup and salad lunch. You can try all of their different soups and salads to your hearts content. Lunch goes pretty late and when I eat that lunch it becomes dinner too.

Yeah, a lot of places seem like that for me: not worth it as an out-of-pocket meal, but a great mystery shop to treat oneself + guest.

Endless soup & salad places are indeed a great value. Both Olive Garden and Outback Steakhouse have this. I like both restaurant's offerings. I believe it is $7.99 or something close to that for both places.

AYCE in the midst of a food inflation recession/depression is quite valuable!
I have never seen the bottomless salads/soups in the locations near me in Southern California when they were open to dine in. I assume it's a regional thing. One of the great advantages of shopping them was the rewards points. Unfortunately, last year they restructured the program so the new points aren't as valuable. I still have points in my account and can use them with take out.
