Emerald Card

I had to sign up for this card as a part of a shop. Does anyone know how to transfer funds from this card to a bank account?

I'm looking for personal experience, not a Google search.

Yes. You go to your bank and tell them that's what you want to do.

If you take all the funds, Emerald (IIRC) charges you $35 fee, and your bank may also charge you a fee.

You can also go to Walmart and "buy a package of gum" and get $100 cash back without any fees.

Fortunately, my application was denied before I even got home.

Thanks cease! I considered saying my application was denied, but I decided to be honest instead. Customer Service sent me a form to fill out to transfer 100% of the funds on the card. It's a lot of hoops to jump through.

Sounded like a royal PITA to me, plus $35 to get my own money (which is NOT reimbursed as part of the shop) -- no thanks!
What's the $35 fee for? The bank transfer form, or the cash advance at your bank?

A single banana should cost less than $.20 and no tax.
The transfer form is free, so I opt for that route. I just have to wait until all of the refunds are loaded.

Emerald Card made it so difficult to do an ACH transfer. I spent days receiving forms from them that had wrong routing numbers.

I finally went to my bank to see what my options were. The money was in my account, less $35, by the time I got back to my car.
