Do they have your photograph in the back??

My wife and I have shopped a particular restaurant a few times over the years. The third time we shopped it, my wife was convinced that my photograph was hanging in the kitchen. The service was outstanding, the food was perfect, the manager was gregarious, the chef visited our table - I wasn't convinced that we'd been made, but I suppose it was possible.

Anyone think that a shop on their regular rotation might have made them?

Uh hope not.....but....yeh. I think it is possible and probable. Until upper management writes different scenarios for these shops, we will get outted at times. We can only try to do our best.
I actually never thought of it, and really don't care as long as those jobs keep coming, it's not a problem...when they stop coming, time to ask the question.

I think the least possible problem with being made is in restaurants. Many people are regulars at restaurants and that may be why managers and servers want to give good service, to keep them coming back. I did a restaurant where I had to reveal myself at the end. A few weeks later, I went to the same place on my own, no shop, and I got the best service ever. The server was probably disapointed I did not have a prize for her.
When I've awarded prizes at revealed restaurant shops, I've told the manager if they see me again, I'm not shopping. lol I still get great service on the "just in case" plan. lol

I do one paticular restaurant twice a month, once at the bar and once the dining room. I have eaten there long before I started shopping. The location is the center of town where the shopping and movies are. They have many regulars that enjoy the food, why would there be a problem, everyone knows one another and they are happy to see us return....and everyone is on there iphone, that's not even a problem these days, perhaps they give good service merely because they want a good tip. I think the shopper (at times) over thinks things.

I wish I knew who had these reveal shops. I've never even seen one to take. I've signed up with about 30 places, but I guess I need to keep going. I'd LOVE to give someone a gift card. That would totally make my day!

I usually love the reward shops when they get the prize, especially when they really deserve it and offer great service. I once had one that was just confused by it and no matter how times I explained that she would be receiving a gift card, she seemed to want me to just leave. haha
I have been recognized before from apartment shops with large management companies that have floater employees. I just shopped the same employee I shopped 9 months ago at a previous property. She hit all her marks this time smiling smiley
I LOVE reward shops! I just handed out 10 $150 gift cards! Thats the best prize I've ever seen! I was picked up, hugged, and kissed on the cheek by the winners..... so weird......
I'm starting to think that the restaurants I do fairly regularly are suspecting something.

I get served the Best buffalo wings at one set of shops. They really hit the mark at the franchise store and win gift cards every time. Sometimes I shop for another MSC and have to look a little closer. Service is still great but no prizes. I do corporate stores for another company and there aren't any prizes for the servers you spy on.

i have shopped several locations more than once but I have never suspected that I was recognised.
I have done several banks and the bankers have asked on several occassions if I had been there before. I just tell them no, they must have mixed me up with someone else. Sometimes, I tell them that I have lost or threw out the information and I need it again.
It must drive them crzy to try to figure out if I had been there before!
Did a Wings shop yesterday with no awards at a place were I gave the server an award and chatted with a manager in December. Didn't see a single server or manager I recognized, had kids with me playing a game on my computer. They didn't have a clue. lol

ok, so more of an explanation. Some servers say they remember waiting on me before, the service is getting better, and last night I had a manager talk for quite a while with my husband and I and I didn't see that going on at any other table. I complimented him on the service and the way the place is run, and he replied, "we try. We really try. Sometimes we are not perfect but we try. Thank you for coming in."
