Lowe's Purchase and Return + visit 2 departments Question

I did a search and I could not find any postings on this unless I am going crazy.

Is the Lowe's purchase and return an easy shop to do and how long does it take? How long do I wait before I return the purchase?

IFIC, you wait half an hour before the return.

I hate these shops with a purple passion, and turned down $125 for the one nearest to me.

You have to wait 20 minutes, but you can do the purchase first. Best system is to go in, make your small purchase, then go to the two departments, then do the return. You should easily hit 20 minutes. I have done several and only a couple times have I been helped in the first five minutes. I now plan an hour for these.

YMMV. I like them, they’re incredibly easy. And I go look at the $1.00 plant sale rack - my perennial garden is looking great this year as a result of my little Lowe’s shops.

I plan for an hour. At the most, you could wait 20 minutes in each department plus the time being helped. 20 minute wait between purchase and return. Found this out with another shop where I had to return something immediately after purchase and found I had to wait 20 minutes.

Do not read so much, look about you and think of what you see there.

Am I allowed to take a note book and make notes? If I was a customer looking for said item, I need to make notes and discuss it with the wife.

If I visit Department A and they are with another customer, do I start the timing when they are finish with them or when I push the red button?

I always start the timing as soon as I walk into the department. After the first 5 mins, I then move to the main aisle, then after 5 more, I push the red button (that are SO HARD to find), then go to service desk.

Ask the scheduler: Generally they dont want you taking notes, but it may be okay.

If they say okay, dont go in with a clipboard and pen. Do it like an absent-minded spouse--on a ragged piece of paper you happened to find in your pocket. Or use your phone to take pics of the item and jot a few notes. Whatever you write in the presence of the salesperson should be about the item, not about typical MS details (name, height, timings, etc.). You never know what they see and high-res cameras are everywhere.

An while back I was looking for a washer and dryer (Non-shop) and I took an piece of paper to make quick notes.

I do not like to take my phone in stores. I find it rude when you are talking to the employee and your Aunt Susan calls or texts and you answer and you talk or text to your Aunt and not the employee. Same way when you go shopping. You go through the check out and you talk on your stupid phone and not the cashier.

The only time I take my phone out is if I am taking pictures of my food. I am not like most people who are glued to their phones.

I take my phone with me. I don't answer a call or text if I am doing someting.

I do alot of Lowe's stores. They are easy and I usually make my small purchase, then visit the 2 departments and make my return once I finish the depts. That covers the 20 min required time lapse between the purchase and return. So the whole shop usually last about 30 minutes...that is if the department associates help you in a timely manner. May take 5 or 10 minutes longer if they don't help you right away. The evaluation form takes about 15 minutes once you get used them. First one will probably take a little longer. that helps.
