Kroger program

Bob comments--As Aldi's is my go-to grocer, but I shop Kroger's approx. once a month for a few items Aldi's does not stock, I decided to see if it would be a winner for me.

If the above is faulty thinking on my end, please correct me.

Bob, I just included some of your comments for brevity. Ralphs (Kroger) is my go to store in California and Aldi's is not close to me. We mainly shop produce and follow the weekly ads. I have found the prices competitive. For me it works to accept the shops. If I'm going to the store anyway, I'm not going to turn down the extra $14 for a few minutes of work (I usually spend at least $14 on each visit).

Before you jump on Kroger's, give two thoughts a consideration. One, the $5 + $9 is exactly what they were paying in the summer of 2006. Two, Kroger's is definitely not a discount grocer.
I cannot think of any mystery shopping job that I would do for $5.
Kroger never went away here, but they say they are changing some questions beginning August 15. I have one shop scheduled on the 16th, but they will not reveal the survey form until a day or so prior to the shop. The good news is that the hours 11-8 have not changed. My guess is that they will change some of the Covid questions and maybe add the shopper-revealing employee questions back.
I hope they take the mask questions off. Most employees were not wearing masks anymoe.

I’m not doing them for $5. It’s $14, including reimbursement. To me it’s still worth it if I’m going to the store anyhow and I need groceries.

Same here with the employees, but the Delta Covid variant combined with people who refuse to vaccinate have caused our state to bring back indoor mask mandates again for everybody. I actually liked the Covid questions better than the overused and crazy employee product knowedge questions.

Apparently you ARE shopping them for $5. There are other companies that sell quality groceries for lower prices. I only shop Kroger if it is a mystery shop. If Kroger jobs are only worth $5 fees to you, then go for it.
The following is merely an hypotheses predicted upon my 58 years in sales. Several years ago, Kroger dropped their shopping program for approx. 2 1/2 years. I remember this because when it returned, they were paying me $34 for four months until the shopper base was full; that ended a brief reunion for us. Were I assigned to the staff that services Kroger, I would remind the head in Cincinnati the program was almost, if not completely free, as few shoppers stopped their purchase at $9.

As with the Wolfman's comment, what another shopper decides is acceptable, has zero concern to me. It does not in any manner have an affect upon my income. ALL shops I complete for money are narrative intense, therefore they are the complete opposite of Kroger work.
On the outside chance bordii was being inquisitive, Kroger shops, due to the work:pay ratio, are definitely not for me. If, however, I considered the pay acceptable, I would not have the slightest problem completing the work. My only reason for posting about this grocer is for shoppers to understand what they are being paid in 2021, in comparison to 2006. As I have clearly stated, if a worker is satisfied with the ratio, let it roll.
The grocery shops are quick, easy, and stress free. This year, I will earn nearly $2000 in groceries. Not worth it to some, but from my perspective it's either $2000 in "free" groceries, or $2000 out of my pocket. The grocery shops have supplied all my toiletries, paper goods, cleaning products, and some food components that I use every single day. I use strawberries, blueberries, bananas, kale, flax seed, chia seeds, cinnamon, almonds, stevia, everyday. Starbucks K-cups, bottled water, and my favorite snack, cashews, are more examples of products I use everyday and have not come out of pocket for any of these items in several years. My pantry is always full....courtesy of grocery shops. I don't care about how much fees/reimbursement were once upon a time, or any woulda, coulda, shoulda scenario. I only care about right now. The fee/reimbursement is what it is. I accept it. Multiply $1500-$2000 times 3 (years), and that underscores my viewpoint. Please be aware, that only 35% of that number is taxable.
@1forum1 I totally agree with you. My pantry is always full. I love getting my groceries for free.
I'm also a fan as it takes me all of 3 minutes to do the report. There was always something I can use or I can always donate the food to charity which has additional tax benefits.
The new form is up. Mask questions are gone. No dumb questions. Added questions about the meat and dairy departments that can be done quickly.
Thank you for the update! i do not support my grocery need completely with grocery shops, but it is always good to be able to spot-check known prices for the same brand. etc. Recently, I learned that one box of the same item at both Wal-Mart and Kroger was the same price. I tried to compare pizzas but ran out of time. One store featured pizza with truffles with something else that looked as elegant as anything can look on a pizza; I did not have an opportunity to find out what was on the pizza at the other store and how this could affect the price. But there will be more stores and more opportunities...

Grocery prices at Walmart have escalated tremendously recently, but their store shelves are still about 50% full overall.
I have a shop tomorrow and cannot find where the new guidelines are for dairy and meat. I've looked all over the website for itsmiling smiley Thanks for any help.
Buddy. In the project description there are two links to the mint and dairy guidelines. You can also see the questions when you create a print version of the report.
Sometimes I really feel good about being a mystery shopper and being able to report problems that hopefully management can address. On my shop today there was not a single cart outside the entrances in either corral. I asked an employee just inside the entrance how I could get a cart. She told me to go outside and look around the parking lot. She acted like it was my problem and not an issue with the store. I am a senior citizen and she did nothing to assist me in finding a cart. Duly noted at the end of my report
I did a store recently and their self serve meat area was empty and a repairman was checking it out. I put that in my report as I couldn't do the meat checks. I got paid and did it again a few days later.

I remember going into into my favorite store once and over the PA system they announced “It’s showtime”. I would also often get winks from associates as they answered my stupid question

This very funny ‼️‼️

A while back before. COVID I stopped doing these can't remember the reason. Must have been the form because I've done about 25 of the last 10 months. One of the ways I cut my grocery bill. Even had one with a 100 dollar bonus.

I do 5/6 a week. It's a great way to help our local food pantry.
I did 19 altogether in August. That's $266 in free groceries. I have a lot of cats to feed. >^..^<
I did 21 in August. I do a lot of Krogers every month. I have 7 scheduled for September already.
