New requirement for Exxon

More expense to the shopper, no extra money. See below. Notice the contradictory third and fourth sentences.

"Hello ExxonMobil Site Inspectors!

We have an update to the ExxonMobil program starting September 1st, 2021.

Please read and review the document below so you are aware of this certificate and when to present it to the employee.
You will need to have copies of the Employee Recognition Certificate printed in advance for each location you shop.
There is a link on the survey for you to access the Employee Recognition Certificate SEPT 1 - OCT 31 CERTIFICATE (print one for each shop as needed) "

Like the reward certificate you present for that other brand when the cashier mentions a specific thing? Thanks for the heads up!

Except it's only worth the paper it's printed on, it seems. At least the other program gives the employee reward points. I can already imagine the disappointment when they learn they don't get anything of value, especially the ones who remember the $20 prizes.
Good thing for me (maybe you guys, too) that hardly ever does an employee mention that thing. For either brand.

Quick tip: if each reward has a distinct code, as happens with the other brand, save one to your computer. Edit to erase the code. Leave the space blank. Save. Print a few and fill in the code by hand if needed at the site.

You could be driving around with the same 5 blank certificates for years! Saving ink!

Over 200 gas stations in... I've never given out one of these.
Some chains require it and employees get in trouble for not asking. I'm talking about Exxon -- the other brand I rarely get it, and usually from someone who remembers me or suspects I am the shopper. It's a PITA when they ask. I have to look up the code and write it on the paper. (Once I asked one why they thought I might be the shopper. They said I was too polite compared to the other customers, lol.)
I have done more than 200 yellow gas stations during the certificate time and had only given it once.
I do exactly what Sestrahelena suggests. Sometimes I have to reprint the blanks because they start to get tattered looking due to not being used for so long! Just write the codes down in your notes, or look it up on your phone on the rare chance that the employee does what they are supposed to do.
When the "Yellow" gas stations had that reward, I used to just carry enough blank certificates that equaled the amount of yellow gas station I was doing that day.
On my worksheet I had a space where I wrote in the code for the station.
If the employee did as they were supposed to, I would just pull out the award certificate and write in the code.
The employees had some choice words for those certificates.

In short they told me they "sucked" (mild version of the word).
