Panda Express shops

Found the MSC that is offering shops at the Canadian Locations. Managed to get the Five Guys shop near by at a decent bonus amount so I applied for the online Panda Express Shop and got it.

So I will be eating a Five Guys for lunch and picking up Panda Express for dinner this Saturday.

It looks like they have upped the pay to $8.

Nice to get multiples in the same area. Panda usually fulfills this. Huge gap in pay between Five Guys and Panda. Is it just the company difference? Obviously Panda is a little easier. I can’t find Papa John’s but found the shop guidelines on Google from 2016 lol. Amazing what search terms pop up different MSCs. You made the right choice to reheat the Panda and eat the burger fresh. That rotation is a bummer though.

Yes they are now at $10. I am guessing these have to be done by the end of the month and they are about to start quickly bonusing. There are several Panda locations in places where other fast food clients are sitting on job boards at $25 and not being taken. They are going to have to significantly bonus some of the locations.

They also need to change the 60 rotation to get them filled.

I’m jealous. Everything near me gets snatched up at the offering price. Sad. Finally snagged a Panda for $15

I see a $15 plus reimbursement for dine in. I don't think this location is doing onsite dining which is probably why it's sitting on the board.

Buy a $35 gift card, get a free bowl. Use the gift card for shops. (I believe that is allowed.)

we seem to have $14 and $17 Panda shops here now.. I'm not complaining. I'm about to do a bunch of gas stations that just happen to be near Panda's that I haven't done yet.. lol

Sheesh. Thanksgiving traffic made it too difficult to get much in today. Panda tomorrow? Lol. I am not a Turkey fan.

Finally got bonused here and I signed up for a few. Had to do the first one for $6.00 but then they were bonused to $17 which makes it worth my time. However the reimbursement does not cover a drink or the plate, only a bowl, so I will pass on the $6.00 fee in the future.

The rotation has been reduced to 50 days (was 60). Hopefully they will reduce it even more in the future.

Fees are back to 5 and 6 bucks. No thanks.

The fees will probably go up in about a week to 10 days.

I very much enjoy Oriental food, so when a Panda Express became available, I bit and accepted a $5 + $7.50 assignment. It was easy, the drive-thru was empty and my order was literally bagged during my short drive from the order area to the pay window. The food was tasty, but, as has been noted, the reimbursement is too skimpy for me to consider for the future. If, though, the rate were to be increased, I would return with no hesitation.

I agree with Shopperbob there. If they increased the reimbursement so we could actually purchase even the smallest meal there without going out of pocket perhaps more people would take the job with a smaller bonus and that might go a long way to solving the rotation issue. Right now I have not been in the rotation and will not be until the reimbursement is increased. A $15 fee might also attract me.

Sandy - Of course I would like to see a higher reimbursement so that the cost of a two item plate would be covered. However, to be accurate, the guidelines do allow the ordering of a bowl which in my area of Southern California costs $6.90 plus $.50 tax.

The current cost of a one item bowl is $7.10 and tax is 10% or 10.5% depending which cityline I cross walking the three to four blocks to Panda from my house. So if it is in LA that would be $7.80 with no drink. I have not seen bonuses on any Panda's close by. Driving time and expense would use up any fee at base to go anywhere but the one I can walk to.

In NYC a bowl is about 9.50 after tax. Add in one way public transit of 2.75 and the reimbursement plus fee are already used up. So without bonuses the net is 25 cents.

I'm sorry but why? Oriental vs. Continental food. "Oriental" is not incorrect/offensive per se. Sure, don't call an Asian "Oriental." Oriental rugs? Oriental food? Oriental medicine? Why not?

Bob replies--When I was a young man, two areas of the world consisted of the Occident and the Orient. Food from the Oriental section of the globe was referred to as Oriental, similar to rugs being Oriental. Asian would certainly be an acceptable synonym and I have probably used that term, in this case, I used Oriental.

Oriental should be accepted. It is a geographical reference, and this leads right back to my constant question: What the unprintable are they teaching these days?! To be fair, Asian is now a dirty term, too. Asia includes many nations, regions, persons, race/ethnic blends, and food fusions. It could be argued that fusing foods diminishes food origins, which are interconnected with people, places, and customs that become diluted or disappear after so many fusions... but someone else can take that up when they have too much time on their hands...

Meanwhile, someone should figure out how to feed us all nutrient globules, or granules, or something, which are 100% free of references to race, ethnicity, gender, religion, tradition, time, space, matter, and anything else that could cause indigestion.

Why not call it Chinese food? It's technically American Chinese food and not traditional Chinese food.

As far as the term Oriental, I thought that was reserved for inanimate objects now. Used to be people, but now they referred as Asian.

I had a friend who got very mad at this change because he claimed that if you said "Orient" you would know which part of Asia.

According to this, there are 48 countries that comprise the continent of Asia. Do you think a Syrian, Palestinian, Israeli, or Afghan would consider themselves Asian?
