Buffalo Wild Wings, Texas Roadhouse, Others

Is Buffalo Wild Wings or Texas Roadhouse still doing mystery shops!? Any other good restaurants that are chains participating? Thanks!

I haven't seen BWW in a long time in my area. No loss to me. The few times I shopped them it was nasty and way below standards. Certainly not worth it.
I have completed 23 of the BW3 bar shops and have two more scheduled for next week. You must remain an hour in the store, but that is not a problem for me, as from entrance to exit runs approximately an hour. You may order what you desire, with the only requirement a single alcoholic drink of one's choice. I type somewhat slow, so the report runs me about 40 minutes. The pay starts at $15 + $25, with my highest being $20 + $25. Obviously, I enjoy the food and consider the fee reasonable or I would not be a repeat shopper.

As to Texas Roadhouse, over a decade and a half, I thoroughly enjoyed their food and the MSC, but a few months back, one of their independent schedulers, Nikki Atkins, deactivated my account. I am not able to state a current comment of those assignments, but still enjoy dining at the Roadhouse..

You will like it. The food is delicious and the report is easy.
If I were in your shoes and still interested in Texas Roadhouse shops, I would reach out to someone else. That MSC desperately needs shoppers for Texas Roadhouse (at least in my area). If Nikki deactivated your account for no good reason, you may get reactivated. Heck, you may even include links to threads/posts about her in your communication to the MSC. She has a reputation.

Even if Nikki is the only scheduler for Texas Roadhouse in your area, I don't see why you should lose out on other shop opportunities (current and future) because of her.

Buzz,

Thank you for your suggestion, but I have moved on from that MSC. I still dine at the Roadhouse, employing a combination of my military discount, which runs from 10 to 30 %, and the early bird special. I was fortunate to land another eatery which includes a fee of $15 to $20 for very similar work.
Yeah, Nikki is an acquired taste.

I flaked on a TXRH bar shop early this month because my car was out of commission. She was offering the same shop with a $8 bonus. I told her I would do it that night without the bonus (IMHO that is only right since I flaked) if she would assign it and remove the 1 rating she gave me for flaking and reinstate my ability to self assign TXRH shops..

My submitted shop got a 10 rating. I asked her to remove the 1 rating from my flaked shop but have yet to hear back from her.

I don't find the food delicious( to each their own), but its a free meal when I go to Florida. The servers( and cooks) do NOT wear masks which I find rather annoying.
Maybe I'm naive, but I am surprised that a scheduler, independent or otherwise, can deactivate a shopper. Not assign shops to them, sure, but deactivate? That sucks.
I know the schedulers can block you from self assigning or even seeing specific shops by client.
I had covid and had ot cancel a shop and I got the 1 rating. However, yesterday, I was able to reassign myself for next week.

Was it Nikki? She still hasn't responded to my request to remove the 1 rating after I completed the same shop and got a 10. It seems she's vindictive.

Anyone know someone I can turn to at the TXRH MSC to get the rating fixed and get my ability to self assign the TXRH shops back?

You could try emailing Robyn. Rmyers
Texas RH looks pretty easy. Some are even just pickup orders? I’ve never been. Dear Wife is picky but I try to bring home the bacon (or in this case, BBQ?)
I do them pretty frequently. As long as you read through to know the what pictures to take before eating the takeout shops are super easy.

We did a shop a few years ago and did not enjoy the food, so we didn't do another one for several years. But I started doing the takeout shops last year and the food is pretty decent, for what it is. We've stopped getting their version of the Blooming Onion, it's just too unhealthy, and we end up eating it over numerous days.

My wife likes their chicken caesar salad, I get the BBQ chicken.
I won't do a dine-in shop at TXRH yet; they're always mobbed, and COVID is hitting our area pretty badly. We do the curbside once in awhile, but last time I ordered a chicken dish to keep the cost down, especially since they lowered the reimbursement, and it was awful. Dry and tasteless (lately restaurants don't seem to know how to cook chicken; had the same problem at Applebee's). Almost not edible. Until they kick up that reimbursement to the previous amount, I won't be doing them again. I know it's just $5, but it makes a difference when you're trying to stretch your dollars.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.

I felt fairly safe at TXRH when I was there a couple of weeks ago. The tables have plexiglass separating them so no one is breathing on you. We wore masks when not at our table, many were not. Not sure which dish you ordered I find that their BBQ chicken is pretty decent and is a double breast. This past shop I did their Chicken Fried Chicken (the double breast breaded and fried) and it was good. We went before 6pm, so we got the early-bird specials and entrées were only $10.99. With one drink, I was able to cover tax and a generous tip and stay under $35. Obviously if we wanted an appetizer or two drinks we would have gone over. Curbside would be a problem staying under the reduced reimbursement.

My county has one of the highest incidence rates in the state per 100,000 people; it's going up, not down. And I'm in an area where people don't believe in masking or vaxxing. So I'm stayin' out of restaurants for right now!

I had the smothered chicken with gravy, and even with the gravy, it was really dry; overcooked, imo. The BBQ might be better.

Ouch, sorry to hear that. I only do the bar shops. I've never had that problem with the chicken so maybe you just rolled snake eyes that night? The only thing that's ever "got" me was the lack of drink prices on the menu. That super margarita is really nice...but wow is it expensive.
Party of 5 going to Texas Roadhouse this Friday. Second time visiting and first time I am doing this job. It will be a coupon towards our bill but it's all good (I hope).
I was at Texas roadhouse this evening and ordered the Herbed Chicken and it was delicious, My partner ordered the 6 oz sirloin and it was a bit chewy, Everything else was delicious, We ordered from the Early bird menu and with the tip it was $35.

Check with the scheduler. I don't believe discounts, like military discounts or coupons are allowed. It may get your shop rejected. Check to see if you can get a discounted gift card to pay for the meal, gift cards are acceptable.
