Shops where you rent a storage unit

For shops where you rent a storage unit, how much do you have to put down? Do you use cash or credit card? How soon do you get your money back? Have you had any issues getting your money back?

It depends upon the size of the storage unit that is available. The ones that I have done require the use of a credit card. Some reimburse directly to the credit card (reverse the charges or issue a refund). The time to get refunded has ranged from overnight to several weeks. It depends on the MSC and the brand of storage shop. I personally prefer the ones wherein the MSC reimburses me since I get a little bonus (a few %) for using my credit card.

My first storage facility shop paid $30, which I deemed unacceptable. Since then, my bottom is $50, this due to the report and time onsite. I paid by card, which was immediately reversed, as all were reveals.

it varies, the cost of the storage unit + insurance ( unless you have renters/home insurance) + the cost of the lock +tax and sometimes there can be a processing fee. It could be anywhere from $25-$250

Unless the guideline says otherwise, pay however
