Churches Chicken shops

My son takes the pictures because hes a local guide on Google maps.. He takes pictures of the location and of the menu boards and the interiors of the restaurants and he posts them on Google maps. When people start asking about pictures he tells them that hes a local guide and that the pictures are free advertising for them. Then they smile and walk away.
I would love to do theses shops but you can't make any changes to the sides or anything.
I used to eat there all the time, and the containers for the small sizes are the same.
So if you get Mash Potatoes or rice, to me it is the same thing....
They make a whole bunch and keep in the warmer..
I don't see how it will effect timings.. Can some one please explain it to me?

I am just guessing but is there gravy for the mashed potatoes? If there is no equivalent extra item for the rice, the timings would be slightly different.
The gravy is applied when the potatoes are put in the cup. Then they sit in the warmer all ready to be served.
When I eat there, sometimes I would get Mash potatoes, and sometimes I would get rice. There were times I would put gravy over my rice...

I can get DT pics of the menuboard and even got an indoor one once but it was nerve-racking. Luckily, the employees were so focused on their boisterous, personal conversation that they probably wouldn't have noticed even if I dropped dead on the dining room floor. But, had I been confronted, I thought I might say that I prefer the drive thru but never know what I want. With the menu on the phone, I can decide ahead of time and not hold up the line. This would actually be true. There should be presell boards, like Jack has, at every drive thru.

One thing I will say is that the current required entree purchase is incredibly good when it is fresh and prepared correctly. It is very high quality for a fast food place.

It is like a chicken breast/chicken fried chicken?
I do not like to use the drive through.. I rather use the dining room. However, if the shop requires to use the D/T, I will use it..
During COVID, I did have to use the D/T because the D/R was closed.. These were on non Mystery
The current entree is a smoked half chicken. It is not fried. This seasonal entree is the only one that I regularly shop, as normal fried chicken is against my dietary restrictions.
For the photo, like someone else has said, most of the time they don't even pay attention to what you are doing. If someone sees me, I'll just ask a question about a family meal and act like I was just getting prices for another day. You could even say you wanted to note what kind of desserts they offered.

I drove by the other day and there was a sign on their marquee that said Dining room now open or something to that effect.
There was also a sign on the window,

The dining room and bathroom at the one closest to me remain closed. The counter is open. The last shop that I did required me to go in and order at the counter even if the dining room was closed. I needed photos of the inside menu board, both sides of the large sign on the roadside, the building, and photographic evidence that both the dining room and bathroom were closed.

I live in Corpus Christi. There is a shop at a hardware store in a neighboring town that I have agreed to do the day after tomorrow. To "fatten the cat" (and myself LOL), I'm considering doing a Church's Fried Chicken shop that is also in the same town. Sure hope it's worth it. I planned on dining in (they have both the drive through as well as the dine in shops still available) because it would be about a thousand less awkward than doing a drive-through then running in to use the restroom and then photographing the restroom. Could you imagine if someone was already in there? Anyway, Apparently this is a shop where you have to eat in the restaurant but also get a picture of the drive-through reader board??? So bizarre. Hopefully the scheduler will tell me that it's not necessary or that there was a typo or something. LOL. And hopefully the chicken is good. If this were a chicken sandwich shop, I think I would have done every available shop in South Texas.

Yeah, that is odd about the DT reader board. But if it is indeed required, I will say my experience is that there's rarely a line at these restaurants, so you may be able to run up and snap a quick photo as you're leaving.

My fears have been quashed!!! The "reader board" they are talking about was not for the drive-through...it is the tall sign reader board....usually near the road way. That is easier and makes more sense. Scheduled for tomorrow!
I learned that if there is no main sign, to take a picture to show there is no sign and be sure to note in the report that there was no sign. I had a point taken in the past for not taking the picture to show there was no sign, and for not noting there was no sign. I received a 9 and not my usual 10. The instructions do not say take a picture of no sign, but do it anyway.

My parents owned a business directly next door to a Church's Chicken. I ate more meals there than I care to count. Every once in a while, I still crave a honey butter biscuit! I agree the food's pretty good when prepared. Fresh and hot. Unfortunately, that location closed and it was in a great location. Where I live now, they're not close and they're not in a good area of town.
