Candy Recall

How long does the candy recall for WGL take? I signed up for several in a nearby town and want to get a good estimate on time it will take to complete.

In my opinion, WGL's take longer than the others, but still mostly in and out in 30 minutes, unless its a big travel center or something.

WGL does take a little longer since you have to put a zero in every single spot for each variety of recalled candy that you did not locate at the site. However, they are still pretty quick.

Thanks. I am planning out my day tomorrow to complete these locations. I have a couple of questions.

1. One of the locations I have accepted will not load into Google maps. It cannot find it, nor the provided GPS coordinates. Based on the address, I figured out roughly were it should be. What happens tomorrow if I cannot find the location? Is there a way for me to report that in the app?

2. I had scheduled them in the app, but hadnt checked the map to see what order I want to do them in. The order I scheduled them is not efficient. Can I go ahead and change the order in the app, or can I just go do these in the order I want to?

I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you asking if you can do them in a different order than what they're in on the list on your shop log? If that's the case you can do them in any order you want to.

You can sort by proximity and see all of your projects on a map on the app. Once you have selected a location, you have the option of mapped directions.

Thanks all. I was able to complete the 5 shops on Saturday. 2 had none, 2 said they took care of it but missed some date codes and 1 hadn't even heard of the recall.
My confusion was that initially when I accepted the misisons, it asked me to schedule them in the app. I just did them in a better order than what I had scheduled without issues.
And the shop that the GPS couldn't find was exactly where the address said it should be.
My 8 year old said it was sad to have to throw away so much candy. lol

How long does it usually take for them to pay?

I have completed several of these within the given proximity of my home, how can I go about getting more of the candy recall jobs outside of my area? Would I have to make a new account with an address in a different region?

They say that the only way to get jobs outside of your area is to change your address in your profile. You would have to change it to select other jobs, then could change it back. They pay pretty quickly - within a couple weeks. You have to schedule the jobs, but as long as you complete them on the due date, the time does not matter. You just don't want them to be showing up as past due. One of my frustrations with this company is that they assign jobs with due dates that are in the past and then ask us why we were unable to complete them by the due date. I tell them that I don't have access to a time machine.

I've done almost 100 of these, but all of them through RQA and their app. Time in store depends on if they have pulled what they think is the affected product or if you have to search all products on the sales floor and in backstock. Most stores have minimal, if any, backstock of candy. Many stores at this point have destroyed affected product on their own or processed a return through their candy distributor, and time in those stores is 10 minutes. Stores on the other end of the spectrum will have $100+ worth of product for you to purchase (if WGL is making you purchase the affected product...RQA does), and time in those stores might be up to 30 minutes due to you having to check all the production codes. RQA has paid $20/store and $0.30/mile. I have found the job to be easy and well paying. I'm doing 10 more stores tomorrow!

So, I had a shop at an erotic novelty store and a $10 purchase was reimbursed. Since I didn't really need anything, I bought candy. I like candy. They were called, "Sweet Ass Gummies" and looked like little butts. When I spilled out the individually wrapped candies at home to put in a bowl, I noticed one little butt had a very distinct, dark colored butt-crack. None of the others did. I unwrapped it and, sure enough it was a thin but dangerous-looking chard of metal. It was not sold under the brand name of any other of the recalled candies, as far as I could tell by the packaging but sure did smell the same! I guess we missed a few.
