Mr Beast Burger

Do not do it. Nothing wrong with the MSC or report, but the food was bad. Thought i would get a decent meal plus leftovers for $38.... nope. Maybe it was just my location.

I had considered it at one point in 2021. But with the 3rd party delivery, you don't really make anything and risk cold food. Seems like they are being cheap. If they allowed me to pick it up in person, I would probably try it. But it seems this is about food delivery and timings.

I was at McD today just getting the large $1 soda and saw 3rd party delivery people waiting for orders. It astonishes me that people will pay someone else to bring them food. It probably was not hot by the time it got to the person.

If I want something, I will go pick it up in person. I get someone who might be disabled, or a mother with small kids who really can't leave the house without a ton of effort, or some corporate office even where lunch is brought in for people.

I'm just trying to figure out who the clientele is for McD orders on a 3rd party? Are these teenage kids without a car and they got ahold of mommy/daddy's credit card?

You would be shocked the amount of people who now rely on these services for no reason other than convince. They then proceed to tell others around them how they don't have enough money for things. Eating out is already bad enough. Imagine tacking on an extra %30 in costs just because you can't be bothered leaving the house.

I was able to do a pickup shop instead of delivery. Probably would have been over the reimbursement limit with delivery fees/tip because it was $27 for the pickup.

I paid for Mr. Beast Burger a few months ago...
We do a reward system with our kids for completing additional academic work at home & part of the reward is picking the restaurant for take out... to a 10yr old boy Mr. Beast Burger is the best thing EVER.

The food was just meh.

My MIL uses Grubhub, UberEats, ect allllllllllllllll the time. She is lazy and refuses to cook for herself anymore (she's 72 with no medical limitations that would prevent it)
She spends TONS of money on this & having alcohol delivered, then tells her kids she can't afford her rent & they need to send her money every month.
I did not know that Mr. Beast Burger was shopped.. I have never tried it.

Before COVID I used to work for a 3rd party delivery service.. I always took an hot bag with me inside the restaurant even if was for one cheese burger with fries and drink.. My bag had a side pocket for the drinks.

The employees would thank me for having a hot bag with me.. Sadly, I have been out to eat *Before and after COVID ) and I would see drivers come in and say I have a XXXX order for YYYYY.. They will have no hot bag with them.

Before COVID, my wife and I ordered from a third party service, and it in the special notes we had Please bring your hot bag to the the door when you deliver our food. When they came to the door, they had no hot bag. They claim they did not see the note but it was right below my address.

There are a couple of shops that I would like to do but you only can use an third party service. The reason I would not do them is because most of the drivers DO NOT HAVE A HOT BAG...

They can spend money on everything else but they can not spend money on a nice HOT BAG or they are just lazy
There's currently a shop to get IHOP's virtual restaurant delivered by a third party of your choice. "Cheese" something. There are only 2-4 items in each category (sandwich, side dessert, etc.) And they all look disgusting, especially when you realize that some things should not travel. Fried foods get nasty if they're not consumed when freshly cooked. There must be a lot of very wealthy stoners out there that will eat anything at any price. Yuk.

Yes, Thrilled Cheese. The sandwiches actually look good to me, and I'm not a wealthy stoner LOL. I've got a shop for next week, so we'll see how it goes. They'll only have to deliver it a few miles, so hopefully it will still be pretty fresh.
I did it. The sandwich was reasonable. The fries of course arrived cold.

Did the driver have a hot bag with them or was it just the bag from the restaurant?
Just the bag from the restaurant. I have never had a driver arrive with a hot bag for any order from a restaurant (including many personal orders, of course) except for one of the pizza chains. When I am in the Many Men fast-casual restaurant, I see many take-out orders leaving, and none of the drivers uses a hot bag.

Up here in Canada, I have been in many fast food and fast casual restaurants, only Five Guys in my experience will not give the driver the order unless they have their Hot Bag ready to receive it. I do not live close enough to a Five Guys to know if the food arrives the way it leaves the restaurant, however, I have seen the Five Guys crew send the driver back to his car for his hot bag before they would hand over the order. I have seen this on several occasions at different Five Guys locations.

Personally when I have had food delivered as a shop or as a personal order, I'd say maybe 10% use the hot bag. My fries, if I order them, are always cold.

All trash.

I’m sure some kitchens do better.

It depends on the host restaurant, right?

No I won’t be eating that.
Anyone know if coupons can be used on these? Often the delivery services have coupons. Thanks!

That is why I do not order from 3rd party apps any more..
They usually ask “were there any promotions?” But don’t ask any follow up questions and always pay back the full quoted amount.

I did the Thrilled Cheese delivery shop and one of my sandwiches (New Wave Fave) was excellent! The other (A Cut Above) was really not good. It had potential if they had included the avocado and Thrill Sauce as advertised, but it was a dry chicken and cheese sandwich. The fries were also skimpy and not great, but I expect not great for delivery fries.
I did the Thrilled Cheese shop this weekend. I got the mozzie sticks instead of the fries. I eat them cold as leftovers anyway. But both the sandwich and the mozzie sticks were warm/almost hot when I got them. I would do this shop again.

I was vastly amused that I was shopping for MSC x, ordering through GrubHub, that went through Thrilled Cheese, that ended up at IHop! Could it possible be more convoluted?!

Just did the Thrilled Cheese shop. My Cut Above sandwich was pretty good.

I haven't tried that one, but I really liked the Grater and High Standards. Cubano not so much. And the fries were pretty average.
