Uploading phots so that the date/time stamp shows

I have been doing shops and uploading photo for years. Just recently I did a shop for a well know MSP. I took and uploaded about 20 photos. I did this exactly as I always have. I got a email back saying they could not use my report because the date/time stamp did not show on the photos.
I have an Olympus FE-130 and although it is an older camera, it has always been a good one. I have both the Olympus Master and Photoshop software to use. I have the date/stamp on. It shows on the camera when I view the photos. I can PRINT the photo and click the option "SHOW DATE/TIME STAMP" option and the date and time show on the printed picture. The first one of these shops I did I printed out the pictures and then scanned them and uploaded the scanned photo. They were accepted. so I took another shop and did the same thing. Only this time I was running low on ink and the shop was rejected because "there were line going through the photos and they appeared discolored"
I guess my question is: Is it me, or the MSP that is the problem? I have done shops requiring that the date/time stamp show with no problems. If it is me, does anyone have a suggestion how I can get the date/time stamp to upload? How can I tell if the date/stamp uploads?
I have already spent much to much time and effort into these two shops that they are worth, but I really need to know what( if anything) I am doing wrong.

Question? Why do you have to print out the picture then scan them. When you view the pictures from the computer do they have a date/stamp on them? I would suggest to add the pictures on your computer again, but don't use the camera software or the photo software you were using. Add them to a common folder such as 'my documents' or 'desktop'. Once you re-add them see if you can see the date/time stamp. If you can re-upload them email them back to the editor. It may be one of the programs that you are using that is causing the date/time stamp to disappear.

Experiment with the photos by emailing them to yourself and seeing if the date and time stamp appear. That way you are not using photo software to see if they are there but simply viewing the photos sent with whatever the browser provides for that purpose. That should tell you really quickly if it is you or the company.

If it is you, experiment a little and then stop by a camera store (not a mass marketer with the dudes who can sell you a camera or a cart of groceries) and ask for advice if you still haven't figured out how to make it work for you.
Greg, No when I view the picture from the computer they do NOT have the date/stamp, I can see it in the viewfinder on the camera, but it does not go to the picture on the computer.
The Olympus Master software had a Print option. Once in this option there are radio button that say PRINT WITH:
Date
Time
Both date and time.

I click the both date & time and both are printed on the hardcopy, but I never see it on the picture in the computer.

Flash, I have emailed them to me and they do not have the date/stamp show. I guess I'm on the way to the camera store soon.
I contacted Olympus after buying the exact same camera. They do not have an option to show the time/date stamp on uploaded pictures. I wanted them for doing shops that required them also. I have done a zillion Best Buy shops and I always use the scenario of needing that time/date stamp to show. Not a single geek has been able to recommend a camera that will do that. I contacted the MSC and they decided they didn't need it on the shops I was doing for them that were gas stations. The time and date shows on the jpg file name until I resize the picture. I could prove the time/date stamp on the picture with the jpg file if I had to, but they've never asked.

At least that helps the "I feel like such a dummy" feeling I was having. It is just this one particular "wholesale branded shop" that is the problem.
I have sent an email to Olympus help desk and I bet I get the same answer you got.
So for now this shop was rejected, and I'll not be doing any more.
Some companies will accept the shop with just a date. After you upload your photo, click save to file, and the date should appear.
I do those "wholesale branded shops." My camera is a Kodak Easyshare and only has the date stamp. It always appears on the photos on the uploaded pictures and the shops are always accepted.
Any of the better point-and-shoot cameras will have this option. You really want to have the camera burn this into the picture if the MSC is looking for a date/time stamp.

I have a Nikon Coolpix L18 and the option is called "Date imprint" under the setup menu. The L22 is the current camera in this product line as of last time I checked.
It's the TIME imprint I couldn't get a Geek to find for me. When I researched DSLR cameras during a shop, I was told that that type of camera would do it, but at a much heftier price than I want to pay. I just wanted them for bonused sign shops so I passed on the camera and the shops. I have plenty to do already without needing that type of investment.

I have just been told about a program called DateMeNow that can be purchased online for about 20 bucks. I tried the demo version last night and I think I will invest in that. It seem to do exactly what I need and a lot cheaper than a new camera. It was the tech support person at Olympus that told me about it, so I'm hoping it will work. Anyone heard of it?
Hmm. Didn't think about that option. I just googled and there appears to be a free program to do that at [download.cnet.com] It does not claim to date in Win 7 or Vista. There were also some programs in the $20 range
Flash, I downloaded a couple last night and neither one worked with Windows 7. I went ahead and downloaded one of them to my desktop which runs XP. It ended up being more of a photo editing program with so many whistles and bells I never did find out how to date stamp. This 20.00 program only does one thing; Imprint the Date /time on the photo. It worked beautifuly, but the pictures I tried it on came out with"Sample" watermarked across the middle, so you have to pay the $20.00, but it looks like it will be worth it to me.
I have a Kodak Easy Share Z710. I can only get the date stamp on it. I set the clock but I think that is only to keep the date current. So I also have to pass on some shops that want the time stamp. I wish I could just add the time myself with a program. I really don't want to buy another camera. This one takes such good pictures & videos. The only thing in taking pictures with it is I wish it was smaller. Trying to hide & take a picture with a smaller carmera would be better.
There are some tricks which may allow you to run older software on Windows 7.

[windows.microsoft.com]
Download a free piece of software called Photostamper (www.photostamper.com). It will pick up the date/time directly from the EXIF data and stamp it across the photo, and will allow you to work in large batches of files.
Thanks, I am really happy with the program I downloaded for $20.00. It payed for itself with the first bonused gas shop I used it for. It is called DateMeNow and the download for the trial is free. If anyone wants to check it out here is the link.

If so, I'm sure it is unintentional and the code provided is open enough that you probably could just select the ketara.ca portion of it to find the trial software for yourself.
Sorry, I thought I was just linking the DateMeNow page so that you wouldn't have to go throught the whole site.
