What Will They Think Of Next ?

Just saw a shop posted for axe throwing.

I've heard of axe throwing contests and have read about people practicing in their yards. Never knew there was a place you could go to for fun or practice.

My back would like the workout from the streching motion, but no one would want to be around when I was throwing the axe. Admitideally, I can't throw for chit.

Oh, not just ax throwing, there's usually drinking involved! The places must have some really expensive insurance. My grown kids and their cousins did it and I could see in their pictures the facial blushing that says, "I've been drinking." Had a good time, though.
Okay well maybe I'll see if my grown nephew wants to give it a try. Not the same, but he was a pitcher in school, so he would have a far better aiim than I. I'll drink while he throws. Lol.

Yes, that is an insurance bill I would not want to pay.

Where I live a "ax throwing" place opened. They serve beer and wine , the news in their "weird news" section had it on, talking about it. I thought hope they have good insurance. The place has booths with a bullseye board on the back wall that your suppose to hit with the ax.
Nuthin' new...there's been "shootin' and drinkin'" since the invention of gunpowder. Oh, and before you ask, the order counts...it's marksmanship FIRST, then shooting the chit afterwards with an adult beverage. Never in reverse. Please!

Oh okay booths; I was wondering what the set-up was .... large open spaces or something like a shooting range.

Yes, it's definitely like a shooting range with booths.
I saw axe throwing shop here in Southern California a few months back. I would take my daughter (16), but they said participants needed to be 18/over.

I would totally be down for gun range shop. Get to shoot their ammo rather than to dip into my stockpile. :-)

I'm guessing that's because if you're drinking, you'll keep buying additional rounds because you couldn't get the axes to stick in the target.

Zek, I think if your nephews would go with you, you could still fill out the shop report, but not necessarily as a participant. Just stay out of the line of fire.
My brother does this with meetup groups; he seems to like it. There is an axe throwing place a few miles away from me. I would be open to doing a shop there- any hints on the company? I also saw an axe throwing arcade game- plastic axes, velcro like target.
An amusement entertainment shop like any other.

Not something any of us wishes to cross paths with, but I don't know much about the MSC to provide a historical hint.

I would definitely have to pass on one of these. My aim is so bad I could just about guarantee someone would get hurt LOL
Sort of OT, but this reminds me of the offers Groupon used to send for "axe-throwning" experiences. WTH? Is that axe-throwing at royalty (try to hit the crown)? Or do you throw an axe to a drowning person? Who knows?

I wrote to them and pointed out the mistake; they never changed it.
