ProxyPics

Has anyone heard of ProxyPics. I just downloaded there app and i took 4 orders, $80 total to snap like 6 photos of houses. Best part got paid in 2 days. Anyone else doign work with them? I have seen to many times they pay quick to get you hooked and then take forever after that.

I had the app and it kept glitching. I live in a large metro area. The closest pic that came across was 20 miles, so I deleted it after a month.
I checked it out.

No go.

Too many misspellings, poor grammar, etc.

"Croudsourcing", "payed", "your" for "you're".

No thanks.

Can't even spell crowdsourcing?
Not that I don't believe @Groshan83, but when I see a new participant touting something, I think, is this someone at the MSC that is talking great about something just to drum up interest?

It would be nice to see the veterans (like Ceasesmith just posted) put some comments on here so that we can have a balanced viewpoint.

It sounds easy enough, pictures of houses (assuming EXTERNAL photos only), and getting paid, but $80 for 6 houses is $13.33 per assignment? Or was it one of those $10 per assignment and a "bonus" if you a minimum number of assignments?
$80 for 4 houses. $20/house.

And screw MSC lol. Been there done that never again. Its not batches w him or long routes. More random. So far so good but the first month was good at MSC too.
Just Google it. Mostly bad stuff comes up.
I have performed 19 picture audits for ProxyPics. I have communicated with project managers via email and telephone. I have been paid for each assignment performed, so I have no reason to doubt their legitimacy.
Assignments usually pay a base fee of $20; I have been compensated over $50 for traveling short distances. The assignments generally take 10 minutes. The money goes into a 'wallet' in the app as soon as an assignment is approved. I can choose to cash the funds out immediately or wait until they build before tapping a button to send the funds to my bank. The company only offers direct deposit, to the best of my knowledge.
Regarding grammar - I think IPSOS has more grammatical errors, misspellings, and inconsistencies in guidelines than any MSC I've contracted with, but this is only my opinion (and I believe we all know the definition of 'opinion').

You are correct - try Googling IPSOS and Market Force and you will find the same type of results. Most reviewers only post when they are angry with a company because they did not get paid for an assignment. If you search Glassdoor ratings, as of the current date and time, Market Force scores 3.6/5, IPSOS scores 3.7/5, and ProxyPics 3.8/5. I defend smaller companies because of Amazons like IPSOS, but I have more assignment availability if fewer auditors sign up. smiling smiley

This is a dealbreaker for me. Sloppy in the way they present themselves to people, they're going to be sloppy in the way they execute business. Apparently, they are focused on the curb appeal of houses, but have no sense of their "curb appeal" to potential new users. "No thanks" here as well.
Being curious, I accessed the Proxy Pics home page. Obviously, in the two day elapsed time from Cease's post to this morning, someone at PP read and corrected the site. My interest is in work that would be in a general area in which I am traveling and this might be an opportunity for me. Unless I change my mind, I will be applying this coming week and keep all informed with an objective review.

Thanks to PATMAN for concise and logical posts.
I signed up for ProxyPics, and less than 24 hours later when I used my my password, Google alerted me that my password had been used in a data breach. And they wouldn't let me look for work more than 30 miles from my home. Which basically made it impossible to get work. So I sent an email to be deactivated, and I deleted them from all of my devices.
I just wanted to let y'all know that I signed up the day the first post showed up telling us about ProxyPics. The next day I had a man call me, I think he told me his title was recruiting coordinator and offer me 2 different jobs less that 13 miles from me. (13 miles is a minimum distance for me, because as I have stated before, I live in the boonies) Both jobs offered were drive by photos and were completed very quickly. I uploaded one on Friday of last week and one on Saturday, and the money is in my checking account today. I don't know if or when there will be more in my area, but when one is offered, I would take without hesitation. Just my .02 ¢

I was hoping to sign up online, but it appears you have to download the apple or android version and cannot sign up using desktop website. I don't like having apps unless absolutely necessary. Why struggle with a 5 inch screen with i have dual 30" monitors. I get that some shops require apps while onsite, but for most shops, that is NOT necessary.

I guess I will download the app and see if there is anything near me. If not, i can delete it.
I have been signed up with proxypics for over a year now. I don't get many jobs posted in my area, but when they are here, I grab them. There are some times the app glitches and I have to retake pictures. Sometimes I need to contact someone to submit my report for me because the app won't let me. But these are common issues dang near every app or mystery shop company may experience time to time.

The pay usually starts at $20 for taking pictures outside. If you find jobs of taking pictures inside, the pay is more, but well worth it.

The company is awesome with compensating you more money if you have to go out of your way completing an assignment. Example, I had a job to take pictures inside a vacant rental. They gave me the lock box code in job descriprion to obtain the key. When I got there, the code was wrong. Proxypics had to get ahold of the realtor. when they got the correct lockbox code, I went back. They paid me an extra $20 on top of the original fee.

Approval is fast. Once approved, you can cash it out for direct deposit into your bank. Then it's up to your bank for how long it takes to get payment.

Proxypics can only be done on the app because the pictures need to be taken there at the property within the app.

Also within the app, you are notified of available jobs within 30 miles (I believe) of your home. If you are traveling, you can change the search location to a different city and state and then you are notified of assignments within 30 miles of that location.

Overall, it's a great app to make some extra money.

Just completed an assignment a mile from home, a commercial site, crappy app, glitchy, app kept restarting taking pics, can't unload photos from gallery. Chat communication was answered within 5 mins. Now to see if I get paid

I signed up. I see some of these. Some pay $40, but require appt and interior pictures. The easy, exterior pictures are not paying much. I have NOT done one yet and am pretty close to deleting the app and forgetting about it.

Then delete it and leave more for the rest of us that like to pick up an easy $20 while we're traveling (or on the way to pick up something from the store). smiling smiley If you're planning to make a route from ProxyPics, you are pretty much out of luck.

ps... those appointment and interior pic jobs can be negotiated very easily if they stay on the board for a day or two

Thats what Im sayung lol. This app has been amazing for me since I started.

Patman Ive found wait 4 or so hours, grab it, and ask if they can do a little more. Usually they are generous. I feel theyve shown me client fees and have less room.

But bye BigDaddy!!

Where is everyone located if you are in my area feel free and delete.

Websites are going the way of the fax machine. I no longer have a lap or desk top, just a phone and 10" tablet.

I am in SoCal. There are plenty of people who jump for the $8 and $13 assignments. Me dropping the app isn't going to help you at all. If it works well for you, then great. I just don't see the need for it myself. I put a 20 mile radius for SoCal and there are jobs popping up quite often and they do NOT last more than 5 minutes on the board. The competition here must be fierce.

Wow - I've never seen a job for less than $20 in AL/TN/MS. The jobs usually do get snapped up quickly around here except in very rural areas. I would have already deleted the app if they were offering $8 for an assignment! grinning smiley Best of luck to you.
Although I have never done a shop in either SO Cal or AL/TN/MS my guess based on info gathered here over the years there are probably a lot less shoppers in AL/TN/MS thus the need to pay higher rates than in SO Cal.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
I recently downloaded the App and have received phone calls and texts.
I believe the company is offering good pay (usu) and decent work
I have done them and have been paid promptly.
Yeah so far so good. Saw this post. Figured spread the word from ProxyPics
