Levis shops

If you ask and get the age restriction waived I like to hear what they say.

The one in my area has been listed for so long those considering doing it have probably aged out by now.
I did the Levi's shop yesterday. I foolishly hesitated booking another one in a different town for a route and by the time I was ready to commit, it was gone at a 25% premium than what I received.
So, this is interesting. This job was still on the board as of a couple of days ago, which surprised me. I read the guidelines and the survey, and there was absolutely nothing in either about the shopper's age. I took and passed the certification and applied. But it didn't look like my application went through, so I thought maybe it was due to my age. But I woke up this morning to see that I'd been assigned it. Maybe if they have trouble filling these toward the end of the month, they waive the age restriction? Now I'm trying to find one more job to add on since this is a ways from me. But I like going to that outlet mall, so even if I don't find something else, I can do some other shopping!

I'd like to hear how it goes too, BirdyC. I used to love to pick up a few in an outlet mall and make a day of it. I haven't seen much of any such in a long time though. Those were some good times, and I scored some good deals in the process too.

Let us know how it goes, Birdy

Sure will! This one has that add-on question (associate ordering system or something), which is kind of weird, and I'd better burn it into my brain or I'll forget it!

I'm really good at making sure I'm not ignored when I want help in a store!

It can take a bit of moxie for sure, BirdyC. Moxie can however be cultivated for those who are not quite so outgoing. A tube of lipstick or a change of clothes can often do wonders. Although not for every assignment, I sure do consider what I am going to wear for some shops. The Pretty Woman shopping dilemma was real, but it can be overcome.

I'm normally not overly outgoing or assertive. But if I'm shopping and want to buy something, or I'm doing a shop that requires an active employee interaction, I make sure I get assistance. I almost always leave the dressing room when I find something that *I* think fits and looks good on me, but I'll hang out in front of the mirror on the sales floor, and if a salesperson walks by me, I'll find a way to get their attention. "Excuse me, I like these, but not sure they fit right; what do you think?" "Do you have these in another size/color/length?" Do you have a jacket that goes with these?" There are any number of ways to force an interaction.

I'm lucky, in a way, that I'm short and usually take a petite or short length in pants. Asking if a pair of jeans comes in a short length is always a good way to get an associate to engage. I did a Maurice's shop a few months back, and when I asked about wanting the jeans in a short length, two salespeople went looking. I got great service and great jeans! (You had to buy an item for this shop, but between the fee and reimbursement, they only cost a few bucks, so I was able to buy from their "better" line, and they're really nice.)

Those are some good hints BirdyC. I always liked the retail shops. It is a perpetually good excuse to go shopping for some cute clothes and stay in the budget too.

I have seen this shop. I hope a shop opportunity arises when I plan to be at that fabulous mall. Don't need jeans now but that's OK.

For this shop, you don't buy the jeans.

Shop went well. I had two associates assist me during the shop because one was also working the register. I did have to engage a stylist out on the floor because the mirror was in the dressing room area, and no stylists were in there to see me parading in front of it. So I walked out on the floor and said I didn't think this was the look I was going for; did they have anything else? I got great assistance. I never would have thought about going to Levis for jeans, but the outlet had good prices.

Oh, and they had waived the age requirement, so if y'all see these this month and the age restriction is in place, keep checking to see if they lift it later in the month!

It probably sounds weird to say that I wouldn't think to go to Levis for jeans! But in the regular department stores, they're usually priced too high, even on sale. But the outlet store has good prices; my husband bought two pairs at great prices.
