"Easy Checking Account Inquiry"

I picked one of these up for the low, low offer of $18 because I was nearby anyway and it says "Easy" in both the Presto listing and in emails from the MSC.

Just about every single question requires a narrative explanation, no matter how obvious.

Q: Did the employee use your name during the interaction?
A: No.
Q: Explain:
A: What part of "no" don't you understand?

Hey, pay that's too low for a questionnaire that's too long comes with the territory. You learn and then you decline until the bonus goes way up. But listen, you bank-shopping MSC you: don't deliberately call the job "easy" if you're then going to ask for two dozen descriptions. Not if you care about your credibility.

Why believe what they are saying? Of course they are going to say it's easy. Have you seen a shop advertised as being HARD? I get what you are saying and they should not be misleading when trying to get someone to take the shop, but their argument is going to be "well, you might not think it is easy, but other's do."

I think what you learned is, first don't believe the advertising by a shop scheduler. Second, ask about the shop if you are unsure. Ask them how many questions and how much narrative is required. Third, watch the job boards. The best/easiest shops fly off the boards. The crap shops sit and need to be "marketed" to shoppers to entice them to take them.
True enough. But it's not the first job I've done for that MSC or that client. Since the previous ones weren't so bad and were not marked as "Easy", I thought it might mean something here.

Good point though, I probably need to get into the habit of emailing the schedulers to get the guidelines and questionnaire beforehand. Not seeing it before puts me in a spot of pre-committing or having to cancel.
These bank shops are $25 here. The shops themselves are easy. They are only difficult when you have to wait forever for a banker. Sometimes you wait 2 minutes; other times you wait an hour. You never know what you will get. Now that they have cut staff, the only way I would do one is to make an appointment first.
I love your answer!

I had to chuckle about a recent email about "coveted" shops to sit through an insurance presentation, 50 minutes + report for a whole $20! Hey, and you can do as many of these as you want. Hurry, these will go fast. lol.
@Amarsir I recall emailing support about an available task and asking if they could forward the guidelines so I could see how detailed the job was before accepting it. Their reply was accept the job so that I can see the guidelines. I explained to them I wanted to see it beforehand, that way if I didn't care for it, I wouldn't get dinged for accepting and then declining. The said that wouldn't happen, but I don't have a lot of confidence in their statement.

It is easier to come to this board to find out the truth.
