USPS gone?

At the end of last month, there were some Hazmat shops in and about my area.
Today when I went to the MS company and was able to filter the shops that they offer, the USPS is not even listed at this time.
Does anyone have any idea if they will be posted again?

It’s a new fiscal year. Regular and hazmat shoos on the board. Search FY23Q1
I don't see any Hazmat shops. When they released Q12023 shops, I don't recall if there were any. When they released USPS Q12023 last week, there were some Hazmats left for Q42022 that got extended until at least October 1st.

I do see regular USPS box shops Someone/several people in my area must've scooped up the conveniently located USPS shops. Either there were not that many to begin with or I was late to notice the initial posting. The few remaining are mainly further out and a couple in unsafe areas.
I just got an email from the MS company and there is a jillion bank complaint shops with a few other bank shops but no USPS
There are some regular Q1 2023 shops in my area. But the real local ones next to me were either snatched up right away or not listed. I was only able to find one in my particular area. The remaining 5 or so are at least 25 or more miles away, one way. Too bad.
I took two shops when the new quarter came out. I did not look at the entire list at the time but right now there are only a handful in all of Los Angeles and there are no Hazmat shops at all. I am wondering if the post office is significantly cutting back and perhaps only doing each location once in several months or once a year.
The other issue is my mailing to zone 5 today within the weight range cost $13.65 leaving no room at all for box reimbursements. Mailing fees went up again on Oct . 1. So if they do not raise reimbursements I guess zone 6 and up are out of the question and so is 5 if you have to purchase packaging.
Sandy, I don’t buy boxes. I use the small USPS boxes and buy a roll of brown paper from the Dollar store and reward them.
It's a little more work, but I find small boxes, turn them inside out, and hot glue the edges back together. Hardware stores and dollar stores are good places to find them

Now the USPS shops are nowhere to be found on the board, it's not even an option for me on the drop down.

Can anyone else confirm if they are there and it is just me? I hope I didn't get dropped from the program.
I buy boxes occasionally but mostly find them somewhere. I have a huge stock right now as I did not do many shops during the pandemic. My son lives in zone 8 and with no bonuses here usually it costs too much to mail. I also buy the poly envelopes in a store here that sells them for 29-30 cents each. Mostly I use poly from my mail pharmacy but those are small once I fold over the label. Cannot take those off as they rip the vinyl.
Just a warning...I sent a vinyl env to my daughter using a black permanent marker. Unfortunately it rained somewhere along the way(not in my state...we have no rain anymore!). The address got washed off. The package bounced from post office to post office for a few weeks and finally came back to me. Now I cover the address with scotch tape. I also found a package of 250 avery labels for $2 at a thrift store so I will start using those on the vinyl bags.
Looks like the USPS shops are paused until 10/14.

I wonder if it has to do with the new POS program the USPS rolled out today. I completed a shop and it took 8 minutes for the clerk to enter all the information and explain the privacy policy. It was complete mayhem.

Glad they are going to be back on the board in a week.
I just got note from company saying client stopped post office jobs until after the 14th and if I had one due today get it done soon.
UGH, kind of messes up my route for scheduled shops before the 14th, but oh well. I did 2 today before I saw the email. At the first one, the clerk needed to type in the return address and told me it was a new requirement as of today, so looks like they've added more gobblygook to go through.

You see??? This is exactly what I referred to in another thread! I firmly believe it is because they released the shops too early, when the hazmats had just been done within the 18-day no-shop window. Change my mind.

Dealt with that today. At the end when they usually mention the survey, the clerk told me to, "go on the survey to tell them how bad this new system is. The more negative they hear, the better." smiling smiley
Just keeping my fingers crossed that they do come back. The new administrative work they are doing sounds like a nightmare. I was in line 12 minutes the other day with only 4 customers in front of me and 2 clerks. And that was before these changes today.
This was my thought too. I had a couple today and thankfully got them done and submitted before the email about stopping until the 14th. I'd guess USPS wants to train everyone before getting shopped. The privacy info and having the clerk type in all the info is a nightmare, not sure which bureaucrat came up with that idea.

I had one that I had scheduled for the 13th. I was able to go in and reschedule it until the 14th. Hope it stays there!!

You were able to reschedule it? Is there a way to do that without a scheduler manually doing it?
I never knew you could reschedule on the site, but I just found a little button (click on the 3 dots that let you reschedule) but it only goes out to 10/14. I'm going to let mine fall off and pick dates later than that. But now I know.

I didn't receive an email that the USPS shops were on hold until at least the 14th. Of those that received an email, did you already have a USPS shop scheduled between the 7-13th?

@Capurato I was holding off picking up some USPS shops until the weekend. I knew I was going to be out in that area dropping off/picking up a relative and those post offices would've been a decent pick up while I waited.

Lesson learned.
I did not receive this e-mail and have been wondering about the missing USPS shops. Can you say more about what it says? Thank you.

Here is what my email said, dated Friday, 10/7/22: (Italics emphasis mine)
"USPS Regular Box Shops are temporarily paused at the request of our client. Please do not complete any shops until October 14th. If you completed a shop today please submit your shop by 11:59pm ET. If the shop falls off your account before that time you will be able to pick the shop up again once shopping resumes on October 14th. We appreciate your understanding."

Yes, that is how I rescheduled mine. And yes, it only went out until the 14th.
To those who did not receive the email, I did already have a shop scheduled so I assume they only sent the email out to those people who had a shop. Thanks for the rescheduling advice.

I did not receive such an email either. I completed 3 USPS 10/6 and have 4 more scheduled for tomorrow, October 12th. As of this moment, all 4 are indicated on the client site as, “Ready to be Submitted.”

I just got the email a few minutes ago telling me that all USPS have to be paused until the 15th or later because of a "Technical Issue."

My mailing shop scheduled for the 14th is still in my jobs to do list. Does anyone know if we can actually do them on the 14th? Someone else on the forum said they got an email saying they will not resume shops until after the 15th. I did not get that email.
