Jimmy John’s Firehouse Jersey Mike’s

I didn’t try these. Seems like a popular shop for just a discounted sub? How was it?

Never had Jimmy John’s

Maybe had Jersey Mike’s twice

Maybe had Firehouse once

Was the shop easily worth $10 off lunch?

Which one makes the best sub?

I personally like all 3 places.
Only you know if the shops are "worth" your time, travel, etc.,

I have done a couple of Firehouse shops. **Here is a tip to add a little value to them.** They have a generous frequent buyer program that awards double points on Mondays. You can rack up points for free food faster by doing your shops on Monday.

I have never done theses shops before

I like Fire House.

At Fire House I like the bacon club sandwich with honey mustard. Yum Yum

It has been a long time since I had Jimmy Johns
I would like to do to theses shops but at Fire House you have to order through the app and take it to go.

I rather eat my sandwich inside the restaurant while it is still hot.. smiling smiley
Went to a grocery store this morning. They were unhappy to make a sandwich that early.

BUT

They must've put
1 lb of various Italian meats
1/2 lb of cheese
Artichoke hearts
Pepperoncinis
Pickles
Olives
Those pickled red peppers
lettuce, tomato, onion
and a high quality roll

$6.99 ha!

They haven't updated their prices on the sandwiches ONLY the components

So I see her chopping up the $11.99 / lb. meat
She grabs a bag of rolls and opens them $5.99 for 6
She grabs a $3.99 / lb. tomato
etc etc

VALUE

Must've taken 20 minutes

So I get a $20 /hr. employee ($7.00) too!

I hope they don't get wise
I like Jersey Mike's and Firehouse equally, but in my area, Firehouse is more expensive. So as far as value goes, I'd choose Jersey Mike's.

I've never had a sub at Jimmy John's, but I love their deli sandwiches. Our local one closed up though, and the next closest one just isn't one I drive by very often.

They've been offering JJ"s drive-through shops in my area, but the one closest to me doesn't have a drive through, and I don't think the other local one does, either. Not worth it to drive to another town!

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
Whatever happened to Subway? Did they die because of Jared and his conviction or was it the end of the $5 footlongs? Subway wasn't great, but it was affordable. Jersey Mikes is good, but too pricey for me. I would rather go to Chipotle than JM. I don't need processed meat/cheese that much.
Are these shops only in specific geographical areas? All 3 of these stores are available around me, but I haven't seen any of these shops. I DID do a Firehouse subs shop a year or two ago, but I haven't seen any since then.
I’m guessing they were snatched up quick. Near me they were.

I did not care too much for Firehouse. They took the meat out of the containers with tongs and held it there for a few seconds for the water to drip off. So the meat seemed like it was prepared in a boiled and steamed manner. It was salty and tasted boiled. So, no. Jimmy John's are on the small side. Jersey Mike's tastes good, but expensive like HB said, and I would rather go to Chipotle, too. Subway has a lot of new sandwiches, but the cost went way up. Almost $10.00, for a 6 inch.
As a sub eater I'd love to shop any of those three, but:

Jimmy John's has no presence in my area.
Firehouse has no presence in my area.
Jersey Mike's has a heavy presence in my area, you can swing a dead feline and hit five of them, but the MSC that emails me every day with shop offers for it only offers shops in, well, New Jersey, which is officially within my geographic range but realistically isn't. I guess there's some administrative/franchising thing within the company in which the Jersey stores participate in the MS program but the ones in my area don't.

So back to the burgers and greasy fries for me.

After seeing the Firehouse shops listed and hearing raves from friends, I investigated and almost cancelled the page due to zero fee and a $10 reimbursement. However, being a proponent of flexibility, I decided to apply for one a few miles from my house. In the guidelines it clearly stated that if for any reason the online ordering was not successful, I would receive $3. The order was rejected and I was faced with a full report for a meager fee. No more online ordering for me. As an added note, I also failed at text ordering, but with that job, there was not a report to enter.

Bob I'm sorry that happened to you. It's obviously still an issue over a year later (assuming this happened to you recently).

Back in July of 2021 I cancelled a Firehouse shop when I saw the subject line in the acceptance email which read, "Firehouse Subs (App and Website Failure Rate)" and after reading reviews about app issues where people weren't able to place an order.
The home challenged guy tells me they are all good!

A Dad shopping the Ark-LA-Tex and beyond.
Jimmy John's update

-very busy.
-better than expected.
-fee should be more, not $0 plus $10 reimbursement. (Even IN N OUT pays $5 for the report -and ZERO photos).
No question Jersey Mike’s makes the best sub. Kind of expensive but the best.
I picked up a Jersey Mike's shop and completed the shop on my phone on the 15-minute ride to my next shop. Worth it to me. Jersey Mike's makes a pretty good cheesesteak. And this is from a Philly girl. Go Birds! Go Phils!
