Five guys aised prices again.

I did five guys yesterday and the little burger fries and a drink were now $16.03.
That is way too much for what they offer.
I'll wait until they increase the reimbursement before ding another one. The only reason I did it was I needed the 30 minutes between Post Office shops in the area I was shopping.

I have paid anywhere from high $14 to low $17 for a burger, small fries and a drink.

My minimum MAO used to be $30. Now it is $35.

I have only had them accept MAO for the American Dream and West Orange location if there are any shoppers in the area (I don't want them short changed).

I am waiting until closer to the end of the month and seeing if I can get $75 on a MAO for a "Late Night" shop. If accepted I will post it.

The reason for the transparency? Hoping that other shoppers will start asking for higher prices, which in turn will hopefully raise the amount that the companies are willing to accept when we MAO.
$16.75 in Houston for Little Burger, Little Fries and Drink. AND they ask for a tip as well!
I like their hamburgers. And I always wait for their pay to go up. But you are right---$17 for a burger, small fries, and a soda is crazy. I'm surprised they don't just disappear.
I've paid more than $17 for the same (including tax) twice recently. I know they give you a boatload of fries, but I'm not supposed to eat them. I bring the leftovers home for my husband, but I'd rather have fewer fries and a cheaper meal!

The burgers are the same size, or smaller, than you'd get at, say, Red Robin.

I really like the food, but it's just getting too expensive, and I won't go out of pocket unless I get a large fee! I used to bring my husband and/or son with me, but I won't anymore because I don't make enough $$ if I do that.

It's been a while since either of us has done a five guys. The MSC just isn’t cutting loose with appropriate incentives around here. And they apparently have someone that is willing to do the shops at very close to base pay too. The shops in town fly off the board almost as fast as they post them.
In South Florida, last week a HOTDOG, Little fries, and a regular soda was $16.03. I am amused when the shop instructions state "Five Guys prefers a burger to be ordered. We suggest a little hamburger to keep prices down"

It's close to $17 where we are. I don't understand how they have any customers.
The reimbursement has never covered the cost of a small burger, fries and drink where I live. As I lose money on the reimbursement, I only take these when they increase the fees. However, I have done two shops recently and both times there were almost no customers. I would never eat there on my own dime.
I always get a hot dog "to keep prices down". I take them when Samantha offers $15-18 but I'd still appreciate the whole meal compensated. As MW stated, they have never fully reimbursed a meal in the roughly ten years I have been doing them. Why is this such a stickler for them? Baffling.
They should really reimburse any person’s order up to a hamburger, fries, drink, and shake. They’ve been getting boring hotdog reviews from me. I’m in it for the cash, now.
Make sure you change your date to complete these on MF or they will not pay you or reimburse you!! This happened to me that I paid expensive prices for all that for that cheap food! This really pissed me off.
They just did that to me! MF would not reimburse me and the fries were $8.00...Never again.
A little burger, little fries, and regular drink was $16.55 today. It has increased almost 1 dollar since my last shop. The MSC needs to definitely increase the reimbursement amount.
I am not sure what you mean by changing the date. when I sign up, I select a date and that is the date I do the shop. If I need to change the day, I go back and change the date on the form.

You can easily re-schedule your shop date in the system if you find you can't do it on the day you requested and were assigned. If you did it on the wrong day, why are you angry at the MSC?

Totally agree with you. If the client really wants to have their burgers evaluated, then the reimbursement should cover the full amount of the purchase (assuming little fries and regular drink). I did three 5G last week and only ordered a burger once.

It's still covered in my area: Little Burger, Little Fries, Regular Drink - 14.86 after tax.
Even in my "local" area, the prices vary a lot among locations. I paid $14.97 last Friday with tax for a hot dog, Little Fries, and a regular drink.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
Around here the hotdog meal is the same price or higher than buying a little burger. My son likes to get a grilled cheese with everything on it. But I won't eat "singles" cheesefood. So I end up getting a little burger with lots of veggies and mustard. Besides we end up eating more than our fair share of hotdogs at Sonic.. lol
You always have the option of getting a lower priced sandwich.

A tip? I thought Five Guys was a QSR which would indicate no tipping. Is this an MSC requirement or just something this individual Five Guys is doing?
Oh. That's a setting they need to change in their card machine or POS software. Just enter zero.
$16.56 here just to meet the requirements (little burger, little fries, fountain soda) - about a buck short of getting fully reimbursed. I can get a sit down meal and be waited on for close to the same price. The burger and fries were unpleasantly smelly (grease). I had a second one scheduled for this week. Think I will cancel
All the Five Guys have disappeared from the boards of their usual MSC. I put in other zip codes- next county, other states, etc. and there are none. What is going on?
