McDonald's Mystery Shop - Anyone try this today

The shops that have been around a while I've only seen in Presto.

I did see many on the job board of an MSC listed as QSR. These might be the ones you're seeing in Presto now as QSR. I do believe it is a different MSC, but it appears to be a very similar or the same shop. I have done neither after reading the horror stories here.

Perhaps the client or first MSC enlisted the help of a second MSC to get these done?

Edited to add: Is the client McDonald's or the drink manufacturer? Seems from what I'm reading it's the latter.

It appears to be the drink manufacturer..... but they want info about more than just THEIR products. The shop would be fine if it didn't include the McCafe &v desserts.... none of which are (what appears to be) the client's products.

I chose to do a kiosk shop, so I guess the punishment fits the crime. Anyway, my "Optional Communication" for them:

Do you recommend any other companies similiar to presto? Ive exhausted all the mcdonalds drive thru shops for breakfast and lunch in my area - i need to keep working and im jnot sure when they will "reset" so i can do them again st these 5 locations.

I suggest you go to the 'new shoppers' section on this forum & READ READ READ, and read some more. An amazing amount of great advice has been posted over the past years.

I completed a kiosk shop yesterday and will not complete another unless the pay is substantially higher. My pay was $23. This shop demands a lot from you and in my opinion the instructions are not clear, particularly in terms of the individual photos needs of each drink price, at the bottom of the report. I have been a shopper for 14 years and have completed thousands of jobs and this one was by far my least favorite. I have a feeling most feel the same way as there are hundreds of them still available in my area, now at $25 each, and no one is doing them.
This is exactly one of the reasons why I love this forum. I considered for a brief moment trying one of these shops. Now, I won't touch these with someone else's 10-ft Pole. We as shoppers provide immensely valuable information to these companies on behalf of the MSC's. If we don't value our time how can we expect them to?

I acquired the large number of pictures. The drinks are all the same price no matter the size. I thought I sent the required pic figuring must have left it out of the report. They said I was missing a pic. I resent it. Never heard back. Got the decline.
Soooooo not worth it.
If most of us are getting declined and we followed the directions, this smells like a scam
I went to one shop and the McDonald’s wasn’t there so I contacted the company and never heard back from anyone.
I went to one shop and it didn’t have a drive thru so I wrote to the company saying so and never heard back from them.
My daughter did a McDonald's Delivery shop today and said it was terrible! Took her over 2 hours to do the report and so many screenshots!
Just my 2 cents here. Most shopping companies--in my experience--if you're late or miss the filing deadline, they send you an e-mail to tell you, they notify you that you're tardy, or make some other contact.

I tried to do a delivery shop for this customer and the MS Company who is running them. I placed my order at 6:55 PM and by midnight, I was still filling out the form having to reference the price points for the dozens and dozens of various colas, teas, smoothies, bottled beverages, coffees, dessert drinks, etc... The deadline, as I understood it was midnight and I had had enough of this shop already so I contacted the company via the SASSIE interface and simply told them that I couldn't finish before midnight. Now, I imagine they would have given me more time. But I really didn't want it. LOL.

I kept waiting for a reply stating as much. None came. I kept waiting for some infraction to be applied. None was. I kept waiting for a message of some kind. None came.

I wonder if they are overwhelmed with dissatisfied mystery shoppers or are just not that attentive normally. I have done other shops for the MSC in question and they were very attentive. On these other shops, I apologized for a mishap during a shop and they assured me it was okay---a communication that was not mandatory.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall at their office and see what is going on behind the curtain.

Just be cool folks.
Haven't heard a peep and escalated from replying to invalid email, to scheduler, to McDonald at intouch. Nothing in three weeks. I'd be surprised if they pay any at all. Get plenty of emails to shop though!

I've done a bunch of the drive thru shops as I find those quite easy. And they've all been accepted and paid. I haven't done any of the kiosk or delivery shops, though, thanks to the advice on this forum.
Have any of your jobs been sent back for "clearer pictures"? A bunch of us had to re-send pics before they were approved and this extra work made the job not worth it. If your pics weren't sent back, are you using an Android or Iphone. Did you do any of them on the first wave or what was the time frame you started to do them? I wonder if they finally fixed the bug in the survey.

Every drive thru job I did was sent back. I only did the 1st wave and when they came out with the current wave I said forget it.

I did 1 kiosk shop, was rejected because I didn't take individual photos of each drink in addition to photos of each page (overlapping) to show each drink...
I did quite a few drive through shops in the first wave. All were accepted. All photos were accepted on the first submission. Android phone (Galaxy s21)
@luckygirl0100 All the McDonald's pins in your area are showing up for me right now (15:42 Central)

Thanks. I have a cheaper Samsung and all required at least one re-submit. Of course when I asked support what I could do, they did not reply for a couple of weeks.
I think it's clear that this project is a huge dumpster fire. The fact that the mystery shopping company left so many shoppers out to dry due to technical issues with the app that were no fault of the shoppers shows that they really don't care. The fact that they're not answering emails about all of the issues shows that they know it's a dumpster fire and have decided to press on anyway.

I still see them.

And now most, but not all are back... hmmm odd
I did some in the first wave and I've done 3 this week. All were accepted without resending pics. Again, all drive thru shops. I use a Samsung S22 Plus. As far as the kiosk and delivery shops go...I dunno. They're all sitting there with nobody touching them. And from the sounds of it, I don't think I'd even be interested if they go north of $50.
I haven't done these in a few years, but decided to try the delivery one just for giggles. I did one on Presto App, a few on Presto website, and several on the MSC's website. Observations:

The app is a complete dumpster fire, glitchy as heck on this shop. DON'T.

The Presto website went much better, but you still have to let it autosave frequently and be patient or the wrong answers will mark due to lagging. So-so.

The MSC's website worked best. Once I had the pattern down I was able to do the delivery ones in under an hour. In my area they pay $5 on the MSC site, however.

Tips: I go question by question, taking each screenshot and uploading, then move to the next question. Much faster and no sorting of pictures. Usually I am mostly done by the time the order arrives, then taste the soda, and finish up.

Question: to make the shop kitty stretch further, are we allowed to order just the soda? It seems so from the "No entree" option and the wording of the guidelines.
I don't see anymore listed on Presto... that has happened before, and later they would come back, however, I have several incomplete shops and a few revisions that are now showing 'this survey is not active' when I click on them. That hasn't happened before. Anyone else experiencing this?
Surely they aren't going to refuse to pay on shops that have already been completed, but are in revisions?
