Grocery Shops

Directions say buy 9 different products so I never buy using the digital coupons if I want 5 of something as I do not believe it is allowed. Directions say upc# of products with same name must be different.

@OldmanJames it is 3 or more items. You can buy as many of 1 item you want as long as you also buy 2 different items. I bought 3 cans of tomato sauce and 3 cans of tomato paste on the same shop. I also bought at least 1 other item.

I think you are looking at the pickup shop, while the 3 item requirement is for inside shops. And the digital coupons are, I think, a great way to get the most bang for your buck. I do pickup shops as often as possible, especially when I can match with an inside shop at the same location.

You have to buy a minimum of 8 different products for pickup. You can buy more than that so getting 5 of something isn't an issue. Another option: the buy 5 get $1 off list usually includes many different items so you can mix and match from that list.
For the inside store shops, The guidelines say 3 items for a minimum of $9. It doesn't say anywhere that they have to be different items. But you also have to be aware that if you buy 3 avocados you are going it's only going to show up as one item on your receipt. But if you buy 5 cans of chili with no beans it shows 5 items.
The pick up shops are different. You have to buy 8 items that are listed separately on the receipt. But that being said I have made the mistake of buying a big bag of avocados, and the item count when I made the purchase was 20 something, but on the recept it showed 7 different items, and the MSC accepted it and I was paid.

On one of the pickup shops they asked why I only got 3 items and spent $13.. I sent the screen shots of my entire order and the completely incorrect things they tried to substitute when I went to pick it up. They also accepted that shop.

Peg, ok. I am apparently doing it wrong. All of my shops have been accepted and I have been paid. By the current MSC and the former MSC. So I'm guessing it's not an egregious error. And I am unlikely to change, because there is very little in a grocery store that is actually food.
It's one thing to make a mistake and get away with it. It's something else if you are aware of the actual guidelines and decide to not follow them just because you don't want to. You won't be risking only your pay.

Slim Jim! My kids eat their weight in those and I may splurge on deli meat for myself
Omg, I'm so jealous there are no Krogers here. All I get is Lidl and some canned fruit and veggies.
