Prophet 4

Hi, could any one explain to me how when we log into Prophet4 it is going to go to the company that we were originally signed with. I have received a number of emails of companies changing to Prophet 4 and our user name and password are all the same.

Prophet 4 is a software program used by many companies to handle their shop database. The other well-known program is SASSIE. You may find that you can use the same email and password in every Prophet 4 MSP, if that's how you applied to the companies originally. But each link from your email takes you to a slightly different URL, not the same one. Each company has its own little cubicle of space within the P 4 database.
And while the "front door" for each MSP that uses P 4 is a different URL, when they "turn you on" as a Prophet shopper, often it is because you have gone to their other website to sign up where they may have an application somewhat different than the Prophet one for additional information about you. But I have had some send me an email out of the blue announcing that I am now signed up with them, the only remaining step is to agree to the ICA.
Huh? I understand only the last sentence.
There are many gateways into the Archondev (Prophet) site, each gateway for a different MSP. While a fair amount of the information supplied to Prophet is generic, MSPs often want more/additional/different information. Many is the time that I have had to go to a non-Archondev website (the MSP's) to sign up, only to then be shifted over to a Prophet sign up that I don't have to complete because it recognizes my email address. The explanation is not simple, sorry.
It's a little better. I suppose I've done it without even noticing it.
All of my Profit 4 user names are the same but my passwords are different. Some of the companies give you a password while others et you create your own.
That's why you need Roboform or Billeo to hold all your ID's, PW's and application info.
Candodo,
This must be your fourth or fifth post concerning Market Force. Granted I have only been shopping for only 2 or 3 months now. My first couple of jobs had been with Market Force. They paided me on time, and only rejected one of my reports(submitted times wrong...had seconds ended on 5 and they don't like that). But my second month was a check for about 97 dollars. I have to agree with the others, if you have a problem, it would be better to take it up with Market Force, but as to them being a scam or rip off, I would have to differ with you. And I hope your negative comments have not affected other new people to the mystery shopping experience.
How would I access Roboform or Billeo to keep track of my logons and passwords and applications?
They're programs you have to install. Roboform charges after the 30-day trial, but I think Billeo is free.

You can use Roboform free forever, if you don't want more than 10 passwords saved. It's relatively cheap. I think I paid $19.95 because my income was under their discount limit. Yes, they offer the software at a discount if your income is below a certain level. I love it. I have it on all of my computers, including my dad's. He only has 7 or 8 passwords to remember, so he's got the free one. I know the password to get into his passwords, so if something should happen to him (G-d forbid), I'll be able to access his bank account and other accounts. My mother still doesn't know how to use the computer and they've had one for close to 20 years!
If you're MSing, it's not likely you'll have less than 10. You have to resister no fewer tha 50 companies. My MSing and personal site ID's combined give me about 200, plus all the info in my Identity section.
I prefer having Firefox remember my passwords. That way the site comes up, they blink in and I login.
I got Roboform because Firefox doesn't do them all, and I don't know why.
I have about 5 companies that I need to remember the info for. I just include it in the bookmark name to remind me. All I really need is the first character and then the rest will show up on a drop down. So lets say that my login is 73456 and my password is pq2345 for company ABC. My bookmark for ABC's website will say ABC 73456. When I open the sign in page all I really need to do is put the 7 in the login and 73456 will show up as an option for the space. Click to select it and the password pops itself into the other slot and I'm done.
I know all that. Firefox still does not remember every login.
Ok. I just have not had the same problem.
Don't forget to back up the Roboform data on a secure USB and or print out your accounts and passwords. Every few months I do this because if My comptuer crashes, I still have my passwords and account info.

Firefox doesn't remember them all due to certain coding that can be integrated into websites preventing them from storing data.

I use Opera + LastPass. Not only does it store the passwords, it can automate the login process.
I have had RoboForm for years. I love it. I also have Norton 360 Premier. It has the same capabilities. I have run into the same thing with not all sites being saved. Usually one or the other of my programs will pick it up. Sometines it takes a few times but it works for me. Good advice about the back up! Thank goodness I had printed mine out! IE & Firefox save them also. I have not downloaded Google Chrome yet. I have run into one company that wants you to use that or their stuff won't work right. I'm sure some of you out there use this. How do you like it? What are the benefits and are they better than the others?
