Sassie default radius

I have looked and cannot find a way to change the default radius of 20-25 miles on Sassie. Am I missing something? I have no problem expanding the radius once I'm in but the dilemma is that I probably miss a lot of email offers because I think Sassie only sends emails based on their version of a shopper's radius, when in actuality my personal radius is about 200 miles (depending on fees, of course!). At least Shopmetrics gives me 90 miles. Can I fix this in Sassie?

In your profile it asks you to list area codes (not zip codes) that you would be willing to shop. It says that the area codes you provide will sometimes be used to send you shop offers.

I accessed my profile for an MSC using Sassie. Predicated upon the info, I have probably not visited that page in 17 yrs., so I added four additional area codes. In the past, I ONLY received E-notices of available work in my local area, although since I created my profile, I have greatly expanded my shopping distance. With today's snow, this is an opportune time to update other companies.

Yes, I have several far-off zip codes and area codes listed but I don't think they use those often, if at all. I realized when I happened to log into several companies, including Kern who I never get job alert emails from and found shops beyond the pre-set 20 mile radius. One project was in an area I had just been in recently. And yes, the email alert button was on and profiles were all up to date. I guess just manually checking each site without notifications is the only option.

I haven't found a way to do it, but I'm in tech and there may be an intentional reason for this. If every shopper logged in and searched for shops in a 200 mile radius by default, that could be a massive query on the server and cause performance issues.

its a blue link that says "advanced search" under the bullseye in the top right. after you click on it you can put in the zip code and the radius.

I don't see an advanced search for default setting but joanna81's insight makes sense.

I've been warned by the system that if I choose the 200 Mi radius that I will end up with over 1,500 items in the list and it might slow down my processing or something like that. So when I go into Sassie on the shop log I put in 60 miles as my radius, and then if I need to expand it to look for more work I do.

When schedulers post Sassie shops, they are automatically emailed out a specified range, but when they email out after the initial, they set the range, city, state, etc. It doesn't matter what your specific range is set to in your profile. It will base the emails off the zip codes you provide in your profile and the scheduler's chosen area. You can try Job Slinger for Sassie shops as well.
