Anyone done Simon Mall?

I understand your point. I think most people (in that position) don't care about that conflict of interest. A janitor is not someone who is highly skilled or highly paid. They need the $ and would be willing to do it because it is extra money for them. If I was Simon Mall, I would want to make sure my mall employees were not doing the shops for that conflict of interest. If Simon Malls doesn't care to look into who is performing the shops for them, then it's their sloppiness if a an employee of Simon Mall was to do the shop (security/janitor/maintenance/or whatever).

When I did mall Guest Services (not a Simon mall) I would pick up retail location mystery shops before or after my shift. The desk I worked at was in a very visible location, and most of the janitorial and security staff knew me by sight if not name. It would have been very awkward to complete a mall facility shop.

Happiness is not a goal; it is a by-product. Eleanor Roosevelt
if the price still $10, does not make any sence to do them. I am doing MS for another MSC for $10 and 2 minutes including time walking from parking lot. and just 4 pictures

The one by me is just for $10 and the mall is HUGE. No way I am doing that for $10. They should base the fee on square footage of the mall!
They probably should. The one I did does not require you to see all the places just the main ones (food court, escalators, elevators, restrooms, and kiosks) Mine is a small mall with a lot of that centrally located. It also likely isn't worth $10 (expecially since they charge $3 for parking) but I will do it if I have another shop in the mall. It isn't hard.
hbbigdaddy: you are correct! Just looked at the guidelines for the plant pot count and for a whopping $12 I can take pictures of all the plants that are potted, but oh wait, do they have a liner? Do they have the dimensions? Are they priced? Waaaaaay too much work .
If the OP is interested in obtaining 6K steps for health reasons, wants to find out what shops are at the mall and has a good pair of walking shoes, then this is the shop for them.
Reviving the Simon Mall thread....there's one by me slightly bonus - now $20.00. I"m wondering --- is it just the small....OR does it also mean you have to go thrue all the department stores like Macys, Pennys, etc. If it's obvious stuff - directory, food court, ok fine. But if I'm going to be trying to look for hard to find places or crevices I dunno.

You don't have to go into the stores. You do have to report if something's wrong with any of the kiosks though.

I dunno about that. I'd be up for 2k steps and a satisfying Popeye's meal in the food court.
Just got an email for one. They've reduced the fee to $8. You've got to be kidding me.
food court, two different restrooms, charging stations, all escalators and elevators, general cleanliness and upkeep, interaction with a custodial staff is about the long and short of it.
Yikes. Talk about leaving zero room for profit. I hope people don't take them at $8 - by the time you consider taxes, travel, using your device and data/internet plan, and of course your time, you're providing valuable data to huge corporations for pennies. It's getting to the point you will get more value out of submitting a survey from a receipt and/or using a stores rewards app.
