Anyone doing this recall? Have you actually FOUND any? I've done nearly a dozen locations--products have correct UPC, wrong lot codes to be pulled. Am I missing something???

During the last recall I did, there were no recalled products in the 30+ stores I visited.

The stores are often notified first, remove the product and send it back to their supplier. Sometimes we're just double-checking.

I have shipped over 40 boxes (16x16x15.5) back to them.
Each box holds 12 of the regular size or 4 of the gallon bottles.

I wish i wasn't finding any. They are heavy.
I haven't found any either. But it's 50/50. I remember doing the bloody Mary mix recall and I was finding that all over the place. Thankfully we didn't have to ship it back. We just had to show it was destroyed.
I've done 20 of these this week. 5/20 stores had product to be returned (only the really large bottles, and just a few per store). I was also wondering if I was doing something wrong at first! I think all the stores have pulled it from their shelves, so you are unlikely to find any there. The pulled stock will be in the back room or they already threw it away. In every store I visited, the bottles in the back room were mostly bottles that weren't being recalled.
What does this job pay? Do you get more if you find bottles on the shelf or less if you don't?

Do you ship it back to them on their shipper number?

$20/ location plus .30/ mile OR $20/hr plus .30/mile and you have to keep track of your time.
I prefer three per location fee.
No additional $$ if you find recalled product. Yes, you submit a form and are immediately emailed FedEx labels & told to call for a pick up. The boxes are also reimbursed.
I have yet to find one bottle still on the shelf, but all stores have pulled the UPC's and put them in back. I have been taking a full shopping cart(the small 'walgreens' sized carts) out of many stores.
I did a test run at my local store and it only had like 3 bottles, so I scheduled a route of 10 today and ended up with 91 bottles to ship, of which about 30 are the gallon jugs. A bit more work than I was expecting... especially when you figure in the time it will take to pack them. A bit messy as well, dealing with some leaky caps here and there. Just glad I had room for all the bottles.

Any particular place you are getting boxes? I just picked up some 17x11x13's from Walmart, but I haven't used them yet.
We haven't done any of the recalls. But my son has seen on the dumpster divers/pickers web pages and forums that are people are finding a lot in the dumpsters. They aren't all going back to Fabuloso.

I had a few of the Menards greeting shops scheduled & the reimbursement is $6 so I got them there so I could basically 'cash out' my reimbursement for those shops.
I still had to buy WAAAAAAAAY more boxes then the $6 covers, but there is also the 11% rebate back at Menards right now so I'll be reimbursed the full amount of the boxes, get $6 (x8 shops) back, 11% back in Menards rebate & 3% cash back from using my credit card. I'm pretty happy with that!

Some stores (many for me) have more than one box full of product. It is not in the directions but say store #1 has 14 regular size bottles and store #2 has 4 bottles...
All products will fit in 2 boxes.
You are too put the form for store #1 in box 1 and write on the bottom of the form '1of 2' and the form for store #2 in box 2 ALONG with a regular sheet of paper that says store #1 address/ number and '2 of 2'.

Basically you have to make sure they know which products came from which store....
Not fun when dealing with so much product it won't even fit in your car.
I haven't done recalls in a while.
Are the recalls being done by a company that's based out of IL?
Yes, and another recall was just released to start tomorrow.

I asked what to do if a return from one store will take multiple boxes, and they told me to just put the two receipt pages in one of the boxes... which means many boxes will have no paperwork in them. That doesn't sound right to me, but that's what I was told.

Frustrating that they didn't clarify the shipping procedures, when they know there are going to be multiple boxes from individual stores, as well as boxes that combine multiple stores.

I guess it depends on who you ask! Lol
Maybe I won't stress then about it.
I had briefly contemplated doing some of these locations, but changed my mind, and I'm glad I did. I didn't want to mess with heavy items and possible leakages. It was a coin toss, because I could have selected stores with no items. But I went this way.

Interested in seeing the recall that starts tomorrow, though.

I didn't ask about multiple stores in the same box... you're instructions might still be correct. I'm still not really clear on all of it.

I'm asking for clarification on my question, because if I ship product from multiple locations at the same time, this means they will receive boxes with no paperwork, which aren't connected to any of the stores being reported in that shipment.
The shipping label has the store number and reference number on it. This is why you have to go to the website to request the labels, and enter the store number and number of boxes. So while the box may not have any paperwork inside of it, the shipping label on the outside has the reference info they need to understand which store the product is from. Label #1 should go on the box that includes the Withdrawal slip. Label #2, etc goes on the next boxe(s) without any paperwork inside.
Yes, but you can enter multiple stores when you request the labels, so they wont know which individual store a non-paperwork box is from, they will just know it's from one of the stores that was included on that request.

They can figure it out if they open all the boxes and count everything, of course.

Also, I received clarification and they said if you ship multiple locations at once, it's still ok if some don't have paperwork. I've been including a small piece of paper with the store number into boxes with no paperwork anyway, though. Only takes a second, and it might save someone some time if they are going to the trouble of verifying each bottle's lot codes against the receipts.
Recalls? Interesting! Are these assigned by an MSC or by the companies issuing the recalls? I may need to do some research and try these.

The client has been named (Fabuloso/ Colgate) so the company doing them can not.
Of course! I understand that, just wondering if these were assigned by an MSC (not asking which one) or by the companies issuing the recalls. Thanks!

Colgate did not assign this shop. They use a company to manage it.

Search this site for "recall" and look at the candy recall thread. It will give the company.

Thanks! I was in the midst of searching the boards and found it! I'm signed up with that MSC but have never done any work. I'll see if I can find anything interesting!

I don't think so.....
I just entered 20 locations (store numbers) and printed labels for 33 boxes. I entered each store # and then at the bottom it asks for total number of boxes. How would the system know which stores had more then one box?
The shipping label has my name/ address/ phone number but no store information.
Anyone having problems with available locations not showing up for you? When I search I only get a couple locations which are less than 10 miles away, but when a scheduler searches my location, they show more shops, out to 60 miles... so I have to go back and forth with them to schedule the shops. I asked HR to look at my account, to see if there was like a 10 mile restriction on my account or something, and they said the account looks normal, but they still dont show up.
