AT&T announced audit shops- that takes from 60-90 minutes

Has anyone done these shops? Shop offer says required pictures- is it worth it for a new increased fee of $25- hate to accept the shop to see the report form then cancel if it looks like too much to do.
Any feedback please?

If this is the "security" one that we're not supposed to call an audit...way too much work for $25. I did a couple at $100 and thought the pay was fair. And earned.

They offered to let me see the shop form and cancel without penalty but not sure I want to bother

I actually like them. I called ahead prior, and then I call ahead the day of. It seems like as long as I call the day of, I don't have a long wait to perform the job.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.

How long was the job on site and how many pictures were required?

Take one shop. Decide if it's worth it. Pretty simple.

It's a crap shoot. If you go in the store and there are more employees than customers, it will take about 30 minutes if done properly. However, if you walk in a store and there is only one employee and a couple of customers and maybe one of them is in the process of purchasing a phone, you might be in for a long day. Also, if this is your first AT&T compliance review/audit, it takes longer.

There were questions on the form the manager didn't understand. And neither did I.

Several photos, but fewer than gas station audits.

My first one took about 2 hours due to only being one employee and a ticked off customer who was yelling and cursing.

Faster after that. Waaaay too much work for $25.

Here's how I try to determine if something is worth it:

Take off 15% of that $25 for your taxes, now lets say the store is 20 mins (or 10 miles). You drive 20 minutes there, spend 60-90 minutes doing the audit, then drive 20 minutes back. Now if it JUST took you the 60 minutes, including drive time, you're at nearly 2 hours for less than $25, and depending on vehicle, you spent about a gallon of gas, lets say that's $3.50 you spent in gas.

$25-3.75 (tax) and -3.50 (gas) = 17.75 for 2 hours = $8.87 per hour.
What is minimum wage in your state?

For a single shop, this gives me a ballpark amount. I do consider the deduction, especially for larger routes, but we still have to pay the gas and put in the time up front.

I've done many of these shops close to me. Some of the shops have questions like "Is the floor level" "Are the ceiling sprinklers at least 18" apart" LOL

Why is minimum wage the goal? Why are we not striving for a living wage, after taxes, of course?

No one said that was the goal. I do a calculation to figure out a ballpark hourly rate and my rate is not Min. Wage.
How others do their calculations or what they want to earn is their business.
