Applebee's

The places where servers are hit/miss on introducing themselves tends to be lower priced/ just above fast food dining.

We rarely eat out at chain places like Applebees. If I'm spending my own $$ we will go somewhere nice or a local place that isn't franchised.

Sometimes, female waitress will put a personalized thank you with a smiley face on your bill. I haven't run into a guy that has done this yet.

But I don't have any problem asking any employee their name. Then I just follow up with "Thank you, xxxx". It actually flows very easily.

I have seen that several times with female employees smiling smiley
As someone who worked in the restaurant industry for over ten years, I can say that it is quite normal and natural for customers to ask the server's name. Lots of people like to know who is waiting on them, or feel like they are buddy-buddy with the staff, so they ask. And knowing the server's name makes it easier to get their attention, ask for something extra, leave a tip for them with someone else, etc. All kinds of scenarios benefit from knowing their names, so I don't think anyone needs to feel awkward or like they are outing themselves as a shopper just for asking. Sheesh, just make it sound friendly and natural, like you want to get to know them.

Right, me too! It's all about tips.
I picked up one of these for something different to do and was just looking at the report. In the food section, there are 2 places to attach pictures of the appetizer. One appears to be required and the other looks as thought it is optional. Wonder what that is about.

The directions say you can order the 2 for $25 deal which is 2 apps & 2 entrees. Maybe the extra photo slot is for the other app you get

I thought the 2 for 25 was 1 app and 2 entrees. They don't seem to care about the entrees.

Yep. You're right. I was thinking it was like the Chili's deal they had a while ago. Haven't been to Applebee's in YEARS
I had the Daq-A-Rita. I thought it was pretty good.

Has anyone tried the Tipsy Shark? It is disgustingly sweet. I couldn't finish it.
The one I did today was a curbside and $25 reimbursement. I think these are once a month.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
I tried one. Interesting, but too sweet for my taste.quote=Mellifluy]
