Does anyone know the tip % minimum for dine in? I typically tip 18-22% and my past notes say 15% minimum for dine in, but I couldn't find it in the guidelines.

The description on the job board states "Gratuity should be at least 15%."
What about the new emails, "Get paid to eat!"

We are not getting paid to eat. There is no fee. We are writing a report and the food is reimbursed.
Its sad how prices have gone up, but reimbursement and shop pay has not kept up. I know we all remember when a $50 reimbursement was nice! I could take my entire family and all was covered including tip. I just shopped and brought along my daughter and husband (son did not join us). We all selected very basic meals--no steak or anything fancy. The total including tip was $59. We all agreed that at least I get $50 back. It did not seem worth it to me. Last weekend, my daughter and I went to a restaurant famous for chicken with a $50 reimbursement. With the alcoholic beverage and appetizer requirement, total cost with tip was $68! zero shop fee. Ok, rant over.
I don't know if this has been ask before but how come TRH shops do not have a fee?

I will do theses shops every chance I get, I love their food!!!!!

I know Canes also does not have a fee on their shops at first but later in the month, they add a bonus to it if some one does not clam it.
Because they are so easy that the reimbursement is enough incentive to get the shops scheduled. It is very generous for a report that takes about five minutes.
I have seen them bonused ($5) when they can't fill the shops even if they waive the rotation.

I have also noticed that
They can extend the rotation when they have a broad base of shoppers. It may be better to have it shopped by different people. Every 90 days equals a max of 4 visits/year, as opposed to 6/year by the same evaluators with a 60 day rotation. Basically, it would be possible for one person to do half the year's evals. There is a benefit to using the same people because of consistency but fresh eyes and different priorities are important considerations.
I'm a little confused by this thread. Is Texas Roadhouse with the same MSC and just a different scheduler or did they change MSCs. I did one shop last year but haven't seen them since. Of course, I may not be checking often enough or I may checking the wrong MSC.

Do not read so much, look about you and think of what you see there.

You answered your question. Because shoppers love to do them.

There are still come carry-out shops, but not as many as there used to be.
I was headed here to ask if TRH changed MSCs since I shopped them last summer.???? Turns out I seem to have just missed them this cycle. Any idea how often they post?
