Raisin Canes shops raising my irritability.

Why, oh why do people take the $9.00 opps? They always go up $5 to $10 more if you wait a week or so.

Can't really blame the MSC when people are willing to take a discount and still come out of pocket for fast food.

I like the place, but won't touch for under $5 pay. Even then, I still only net $2-3. The BOX combo is like $12.
Because they need to build up $50 in shop fees per month to get paid at all, according to the new shopper agreement?
I agree they are easy and the food is good, but if you wait until the price goes up, you can get the 6 piece combo that feeds 2 with just a little OOP.
The ones in my area used to go up to $15, but now they rarely go above $10, and usually seem to stay at $0 for a long time.
It's because some people understand what a fine meal is. RC has fried chicken tenders. And despite years and years and years of things like BBQ sauce, honey, Sriracha, SpicyChipotleWhatever, SweetSour, Cream of SomeYoungGuy, ChilieGarlic sauce................ RC ,.....has NONE of that. They thought of, wait for it -- - Ketchup. Yes, Ketchup. Did they give you Ketchup? Did you ask for Ketchup? So some people are smart. They avoid a higher fee or any fee.....to go make sure the Ketchup situation is right. Because everybody - just wants Ketchup on their fried chicken. I enjoyed writing this. I won't say I need a cigarette after this, but it was still a pretty fine experience.
I do not understand either why anyone would take one for only the $9 reimbursement. For the DT shop, I have literally sat in line for over 20 minutes. My minimum shopper pay is $10. This gives me $19 total to allow me to purchase a Caniac Combo for $17 with $2 for gas. I agree about the ketchup question. That seems so odd and irrelevant.
The ketchup is for the fries. Why wouldn't they ask about condiment offers? I'll admit counting napkins is a bit annoying.

People near me have been taking them at the $0 fee over the past few months...
Too many questions for $9 worth of crummy food. They're almost bottom of the barrel for fried chicken. Clean restrooms though.
Ketchup question is no longer asked in CA. Last June, brilliant CA legislature banned all proactive giving out of condiments. They will be given ONLY if requested by the customer. So now if you don't ask, you don't get. Before it was RC and other places that asked you first. This went into effect June of 2022.

The recently passed Assembly Bill 1276 prohibits “a food facility from providing any single-use foodware accessory or standard condiment, as defined, to a consumer unless requested by the consumer.” The law will apply to both dine-in and takeout orders.Dec 1, 2021

It is such a waste to automatically give out those little packets if the customer doesn't want them, and many customers are taking the food home to eat where they probably already have ketchup. A McDonalds once gave me 18 packets of ketchup for one combo meal! I don't understand why so many dine-in restaurants still insist on automatically giving out completely unnecessary straws.

I don't need lots of ketchup, but I love when a ff place gives me a handful of napkins. If I'm getting fast food, I normally have 2 goblins and maybe one of their friends in the back seat, so extra napkins are always appreciated.
Guilty. I did one today for the $9 reimbursement. It's the only one close to me and I've only seen it on the board with an actual fee maybe a few times over the past couple of years. So clearly someone in my area is happy to do it consistently for only the reimbursement. I only did it today because I had three other shops literally right next to it. And for some reason my daughter absolutely loves RC and their chicken fingers. So I gave it a taste and left it for dinner for the kiddos tonight.
BETTER TO WASTE KETCHUP THAN WASTE MY TIME

The MSC for this & 5 Guys are getting stingy. I haven't seen anything above just reimbursement in the past month, but I've been holding out for $10 for a couple of years getting a couple of jobs a month. Inflation is everywhere except reimbursement and job fees.
In my area the three piece combo is around $ 9 and the four piece combo is around $ 10 and some change

I know they start out as reimbursement only and the report is very easy but I would love to do this shop if there was a fee attach to this..

I remember several years ago you could get the four piece or six piece combo and it would be covered... Now if I am not mistaken the four piece may put you over the limit depending on where you live.
Well, tried my first one yesterday. The meal was $3 out of pocket for me. The entire meal wasn't worth the $3. Slaw inedible (tasted exactly like raw cabbage). Chicken OK, but for what it cost, I could buy 2 rotisserie chickens at walmart and have enough chicken to eat for a week. Fries, meh. Texas toast, OK.

Staff was very cheerful, might be a nice place for the employees. Very clean.

I would not eat there on my own dime, and I wouldn't do the shop for less than $25. So if they never get to $25.....
I'm not sure how they treat employees, but they opened a location in my old neighborhood and sponsored several events in the area, so at least they give back to the community a little.

@ceasesmith...

"I would not eat there on my own dime, and I wouldn't do the shop for less than $25. So if they never get to $25....."

it won't get to that amount. It's a popular place with younger crowd. Not sure of your demographic..but I don't see many 50+ people there. It's usually teenagers and younger people that make up the majority of the clientele.

I agree it's pricey. A "walmart chicken?" I don't know about that. I don't have confidence in Walmart employees to prepare food. A costco chicken is a different story.

In Southern California...I equate RC with In N Out. Its the chicken version of In N out. Very limited menu and generally positive experiences and quite busy. The one thing about RC is that the dining room tables are moveable and not fixed location like at In N Out. So younger groups in large numbers will congregate at RC because they can all sit together where they cannot at In N out.

The report is easy and with $10 pay and the $9 reimburse...you can get the CANIAC COMBO and feed 2 people and have a couple dollars left over. That is when I will go.

However, they do a BOGO on mother's day and father's day each year. That is when I will pay for it myself. My kids enjoy it, so if i am getting 4 "box combos" for the price of 2...then it's a decent lunch. The nicer meal for dinner is somewhere upscale.
The chicken and sauce are tasty. Fries area highly processed, limp, pale and almost no potato flavor. Toast is meh and not much seasoning on it.
