Have you ever had this happen?

Had a two part bank shop; required me to go in and ask a question about their promotion (phamplets in lobby). They were supposed to give me a code to use on my computer to get a credit report. 2nd part required me to go back and have the loan officer go over the report with me. ($40)

So I went in bank #1 and they had no idea what I was talking about. I leave and do report.

Bank #2 same thing, I show them the phamplet but they look for 30 minutes and even call another branch. I leave empty handed again...do report.

I get paid $10 each because 2nd visit was not done. Not fair that the bank officer is not uptodate with their bank's promo even with their advertising materials in the lobby.. What's your opinion?

There are things that happen that are beyond our control and similarly things that happen that are beyond the control of the company with whom we are working. On more than one occasion a promotion was supposed to start at a particular time, both in banking and in other situations, and it was delayed. I have had 1 shop accepted when I reported the promotion was not out and a whole handful delayed once the company realized the client had delays in rolling out the program. With Informa I used to have what seemed unerring luck of going in to claim my sister in another town saw an ad about a certain promotion only to have them say, "Yeah, we got the email. But we haven't had the training sessions yet."

Good communication is the key to this whole business and that communication is not only with shoppers and companies but with companies and their clients. Right now I would communicate with your scheduler that you would like to be reassigned these shops once the promotion is rolled out and trained.

certified field associates is notorius for this... especially with their merchandising assignments... product not delivered on time, paperwork not available on time... the works... like everything stuff happens... im willing to bet its going to be more prevelant this year with all the tornados and flooding and stuff...
