Rental Car companies

As bad as they need to be shopped, has anyone ever found them on any MSC’s? Thrifty comes to mind as to who needs a LOT of improvement!

I haven't seen rental car shops in ages. And the ones I did do required you to either drive and return within an hour or drive it, park it in the parking lot at the airport and return the next day.
I remember years ago there were some that your were only to evaluate the shuttle ride between the airport and the rental agency.
I'm not a huge traveler, but it seems like many of these car rental companies are FRANCHISED. But still, if I'm Hertz/Avis/Alamo/Budget/etc...i would want to make sure I'm getting somewhat consistent results from all the locations that carry the company name/image.

It's probably been 10 years (or more) since I did a rental car shop for Fox. I don't remember those locations being franchised, but the major brands seemed to be in the ciites I needed a rental car.
I rented a car in November for around town. It was Budget. I didn't take their Insurance as mine would cover it.

I was rear ended. I reported it to their necessary department and their local office where I rented the car.

They charged me $250 for additional days. I cancelled my card and reported fraudulent charges. They called me a month later claiming I had stolen their car.

After giving them the report number they backed off

Next, they tried to charge another $450 to the cancelled credit card. When they couldn't, they charged it off to a collection agency and dinged my credit.

Never once did they contact me. I disputed it with the agency and got a text from Budget thanking me for my business and to contact them to resolve this.

When did companies determine it was up to the customer to make things right? And a text message to contact them constitutes contacting the customer to resolve their issues?

I didn't contact them.

I would have taken it to the media. Nina Pineda from ABC 7 NYC News gets results within a matter of minutes. These businesses wet their pants once the major media gets involved.
Even more reason a MSC needs to get involved with rental car companies
You are putting the cart before the horse.

The client decides whether they want to hire a MSC or not. If you are a disreputable company, do you want to hire someone to report that you are disreputable?

Shopping South Jersey, Southeast Pennsylvania, and Delaware above the canal since 2008
So they’re all disreputable then? Prolly
