Happening to Exxon/Mobil In July

Anybody get the Email from the Exxon/Mobil MSC regarding a live webinar June 6 at 6:00 pm EST?

I wonder if the MSC is cheapening the shop or, is it a different type of shop than their current?

Here is the short version of the Email:

This is a mystery shop followed by a revealed gas station inspection to evaluate the customer experience standards - photos required!
Starting In July -
Shopper Pay: $15 + $2 gas reimbursement + $1 c-store reimbursement

Frenchie, you beat me to it. I am sure the job will be at least the same as before. They are upping the shopper pay by $1, but decreasing the gas reimbursement by $3. Someone is saving $2.

That is unfortunate. I don't do many of these, but the $5 gas reimbursement was a nice feature about the shop. Certainly the other large station will follow with a lower gas reimbursement.
Sounds like the same shop. It says it is for the "Exxon US Site Inspections Mystery Shopping Program."

They are cheapening for sure. I have noticed they are slowly moving away from the monthly inspections, moving more and more stations to a quarterly schedule. I don't have any direct knowledge, but I suspect in a few years all stations will be quarterly as contracts are renewed.
Plus that $1 store reimbursement? I've never found anything for $1, except once water was on sale! lol.
This is great news! We are on our way to earning below the poverty level. We can qualify for food stamps, medicaid and government housing! YAY!
*eye roll*
Kind of off topic but I just discovered the Exxon guidelines now require pump numbers in the photos, including the pole flag if no number is on the pump. I haven't have any rejected, but this is going to make things a bit harder going forward.
The reimbursement, the required purchase, is not considered taxable, "income." So they've triple screwed us on this.

1. Lowered non-taxable perk (gas reimbursement)
2. Higher taxable pay (only by $1 per shop).
3. Less and fewer bonuses at end of month.

Just when I think they can't dig my grave any deeper, they shovel out another foot of dirt.
@Mystery to me. The number requirement has been in place for quite a while, at least since the first of the year. I had one about that time that they did not deny but sent me back to re photo all pumps to make sure the numbers were showing. At leat it was claose and only 8 pumps.
Lol, I guess I have been lucky. It was only recently pointed out to me, and they didn't make me retake the photos. I know it has been a requirement for another brand for a while, I was fuming when they sent me back for one of those.

I've noticed many of the E/M shops have become quarterlies too! I'm wondering if June will even have any E/M shops since they are announcing the new program starts in July.

Should have some idea in the next few days.
