How to remove date and time stamp from iPhone photo?

I’m doing a shop and in the guidelines it says that for the photos you submit, make sure you have removed the date and time stamp. I guess I find that a little bit odd because I would think they would want the date and time as proof that you were there, but whatever!

My question is that I don’t really know how to do this, and I have spent some time searching for the answer to no avail. I can easily edit the photo to crop out the date and time but then it just puts the date and time of when I made the edit. I also learned how to change the date and time but I don’t really see any option to eliminate dates and times. I thought if I take a screenshot of the photo and then crop that, it would work. But it simply records the time when I made those changes.

Note that on my iPhone, the date and time are not actually appearing ON the photo, they are basically only hidden information which I’m assuming someone could find if they knew how.

Can anyone help here? Many thanks!

I am not certain, but I think the MSC was referring to the time/date stamp that one clearly sees on a photograph with the naked eye. Not the embedded date/time stamp.

This is exactly what they mean. They don't mean the metadata.
