Gift certificate for restaurant shop

Appy? Do they have BJ's in Canada?

They have a great selection of entree salads. I just enjoyed the Seared Ahi Salad. They have an extensive burger menu. Lunch specials are only 13.99. I love going there for appy and beer with a friend when it is not an evaluation. We enjoyed the Calamari and a few others and skipped dinner. Did you see their extensive craft beer Menu?

I just noticed that the email guidelines say "EACH guest must order an entree and a drink other than water. You MUST order at least 1 appetizer or dessert to share. You may order an alcoholic drink, but you may not order more than one. "

I know there was a discussion about purchase requirements earlier. This wording seems new, although I've only done one shop under the new company (and am currently out of rotation for the one location near me). I usually ordered the wings as my meal, and my wife would get a burger. We'd get one drink and nothing else Sounds like I'll have to up my spending on the next shop, unless the form guidelines still conflict. At least I have the $100 gift card to spend.
You basically need 2 entrees, 2 drinks and 1 appetizer or dessert. I was already getting 2 entrees and the dessert, but with only 1 drink. So now I upped it to 2 drinks (an extra $4).

You could always go on a wednesday when the burgers are cheaper or monday when a pizza is half price.

I have gone with 3 people and still only ordered the 2 entrees and 2 drinks and 1 dessert. I think the point is...they wanted to get away from the cheapskates who ordered water and the cheapest entree and tried to "make the rest" without spending more. The typical diners at BJ are not cheapskates looking to order 1 entree and water. I take extra receipts for the loyalty points and routinely finding parties of 2 spending $60-$100 pre-tip. So it looks weird to have a shopper come in and pose as a legitimate customer and spend $20 out of a possible $100. That's not the general customer for them. Yes, I'm sure there are some people who might do that...but not the vast majority of their clientele.

The person going to BJ's and looking to get out for $20 is as silly as the person who goes to five guys and orders a burger and stands there and says nothing else waiting for the cashier to start asking you if you want anything else. That is not how typical people who frequent BJ's or Five Guys order food.

I got an email from the restaurant advertising a new Wednesday $5 Wings special (you only get five wings for that price). Unfortunately, what they did not say is that it replaced the extremely popular $12 ($13?) burger special. We used to always shop them on Wednesdays since my wife liked one of their burgers. I like their wings and used to get them as my entree (which apparnetly I can no longer do), but this is disappointing.
Bummer!

I didn't get that email and I believe we (SF Bay Area) still have the burger special on Wednesday.

Yes, I see that, but when I click on Learn More About Today's Special, it takes me to this page, where the discounted burger shows up and is quickly overwritten with the $5 wings and beer. I tried changing my location on San Bruno, and I do still see the $12 burger there (it starts at $11 and then is overwritten like mine is with the wings). So maybe they're testing the change, or it's just regional.

You seem to have gotten your email on April Fools day. Did you check the restaurant menu since that day? What about other locations in your area?

Interesting that they did not include them. I did not get a 1099 from them. But it seems to me they would have been able to write those off as an expense for their own business taxes. If they are not reporting them then?
