Question about cell phone features for a shop I have to do

Hiya, everyone. So, today I'm doing a cell phone shop near me. I have to go in and ask questions about the "Feature Set" of a particular model of Samsung phone if the associate doesn't bring them up. So, most of you probably know which shop/MSC this is, but that's irrelevant to my question. I've done this shop a few times already and never had a problem, but this time I simply don't know what one of the questions means. I've googled, but haven't found an answer.

I'm supposed to ask if I can use the phone "to control apps and other devices." Can any of you, especially if you've done this shop or have high end phones, tell me what sort of apps and devices I would use a phone to control? I use a low-budget phone, so I am clueless!

I got my first Samsung phone only months ago and it's only a mid-level phone. I just googled the subject and you may find the following to be helpful:

[9to5google.com]

Good luck.
I've used my phone to control my smart lightbulb, google home speaker, and the roku on the tv. there are also other stuff that can be done, like start engine on your car, etc.

While you may have a mid-level phone by Samsung, that is not all they make. The model I need to ask about costs over $1k and is their latest high-end model.

This is just what I need in order not to feel like a dummy when I ask about it. I don't have any of those things, but I can pretend much better after I do a little research on such systems. I'll look into the car-starting also, since I live in a place with snowy winters and being able to do that would be really cool. It would sound more natural coming out of my mouth, anyway. I would probably start to giggle if I was talking about a smart lightbulb, which I had no idea was a thing! Thank you.

I rescheduled my shop for tomorrow.

I am aware. I have shopped their high-end models and also considered buying one of them before I bought my current phone. I noted I did not have a high-level Samsung phone because of what you wrote in your original post. Many Android phones (even if they are not Samsung or high-end) can control other devices.

When the phone is folded shut, there is a screen that you can add some icons to so you don't have to open the phone to turn on your lights, see notifications, and other stuff i have yet to look into. I have this phone and have yet to get past adding a weather app.
I have an LG phone that I use to control my LG TVs.
