The lugs are those circle stick ons correct? They just stick to the very top a d they hang over the sides. They fit just fine. I did 15 stores already and didn't have any issues. The stores do not want those countertop displays. So many are refusing them or asking to leave them elsewhere. They are so big!!
haha i was definitely overthinking it. super easy. yea, i hear you on the counter top displays. about half the locations don’t want them, some people think i am some kind of authortive figure and let me do what i want lol. a lot of places don’t want clip strips either.

I don't ask about the clip strips. I wait until they are busy, hang them, take a pic and run. Lol. I get yelled at about the displays. I say look, what you do with it after I leave is your business. But that is if I get that far. Very few even entertain me.

The rest of the job is easy.
I don't ask I just place them, do the job and leave. Never been refused in placing a strip or display. Be nice if they had an authorization letter with pre-clearance to place the display on this last round. Asking causes too many issues such as the manager is not here and that person won't be back today.

Yeah, basically. I've has some locations where it was impossible to place a counter display though. Some stores are really small and crowded.
I haven't done 711 but a different chain that they bought out, and the sticker lug seems to fit just fine. Luckily I have not had to do any counter displays.

You too? -lol-

The clip strip was easy. The counter display, not so much. No way to be stealth on that. I had a couple clerks tell me straight up that they'd throw it (and the cards) in the trash as soon as I hit the door. I said, "Here, let me take this picture first...."

I'm of the opinion that most of the convenience store people do not like these cards. I swear I heard some of them give an audible groan when they saw me walk in with my big old bag o' cards...

If your path dictates you walk through hell, do it as though you own the place. -unknown
almost no store actually wants secondary, or now third locations for these cards. they don’t sell well to begin with at a lot of locations lol. i’ve still mostly been putting the clip strip up and display without much push back. nobody wants them, but only a few REALLY don’t want them. it’s always amusing though to see how few clip strips, or displays remain in following visits. some places will tell you that you can only put it up on the main display which defeats the purpose haha. i do think it wouldn’t be a bad idea to bonus based on successfully getting extra spots added. like $20 if we can get clip strip and display out. u unfortunately, most of my visits were kit C’s… you can imagine how many boxes i have to break down.

I had one location with clip strip only -- no counter display. The associate said the manager wasn't in, but that their corporate office has a policy of refusing any and all types of cards due to theft. The associate let me leave the box of cards with the clip strip on the manager's desk, along with a note. If they threw them out, that wasn't my monkey! Anyhow, I reported it as such and got paid.
The "bonus for successful placement" idea is nice, but it'll never happen. I had thought about telling store personnel after a pushback, "Please? I get more money when you let me leave this on your counter," but A] no extra money from NS = no extra effort from me, and B] the card company/MSC needs to know (not that they'll care) that the stores do not want these things. The ROI for the counter displays has got to be poor; easily half of mine came home with me. I don't even want to think about the irresponsible environmental impact.

I foisted the cardboard boxes off onto friends and relatives. "Look how great these will be for wrapping Christmas gifts...."
