COSTCO BARCODE SCANNING FOR ISECRETSHOP

Has anyone done these? Are these jobs worth doing? 1900 scans for $114 seems like less than minimum wage and I don't understand how they expect us to "covertly" scan that many items.

I never do these types of jobs myself but I have often seen someone checking prices in the aisles. I always assume they are a mystery shopper. No one pays them any attention.

I'm just kind of iffy about it because I live in a high crime city and it seems like Costco's loss prevention or management might have questions.

I don't know anything about these kinds of jobs.
I belong to Weight Watchers. I scan items all the time with my weight watchers app. No one ever takes any notice.

I did one once. Never again. No issues walking right into the store, even without a membership. No issues spending 2 days (yes) scanning everything, nobody working there batted an eye. Things to bear in mind, unless they've changed things it's not simply scanning but entering information as well. And you've got to scan items in the freezers and cold cases as well. Those freezers are...freezing. Also, Costco crowds. Good luck!

Especially now that the pre Black Friday, Black Friday weekend and Christmas specials are out. The stores are even packed on usually quiet days.

If you are new to these, I highly recommend starting with the 50 item scan and work your way up.

I haven't done any of the Costco shops, but I did one on a smaller scale at a convenience store. It was horrible. Hard pass for me no matter what time of year it is.

Yeah, I saw these on the iSecretShop platform....BTW, I've not worked with the MSC that uses the iSecretShop platform, so I can't say how they are in fairness or anything. But it DOES seem like a whole lotta work for the pay, doesn't it??

There are tons of threads on this topic. Most say it's a hard pass because it's a lot of work and a lot of time.

I'm also in this boat!

I don't mind the regular grocery store shops for pricing a select list of items and I do a regular Costco pricing shop where they give you a select number of items and you input the current and sale price but to scan every single product Sku and entering pricing information in Costco is a hard pass.
