Yes, it was 60 originally and they reduced it to 40 during the pandemic. They have started dancing again, and I think they want us to stay long enough to observe the dancers.
Thanks for posting this.

I have gone with my parents several times (Non MS) before COVID and a few times after COVID and the times we were there they didn't have line dancers.

I went with my wife for a TRXH dine in MS ,about a year ago , and they did not have line dancers at the time we went.

I guess all of them are different.

I miss their take out shops

ETA: I just mark on the report that we did not noticed any line dancers (Yes we stayed the whole time) and my report was accepted.

They don't employ line dancers. The waitstaff line dance to certain songs. If they don't play that song during the 60 minutes you're required to be there, you won't see them line dance. It's that simple, and most of the songs that they line dance to aren't played often anymore. They were big hits 20+ years ago.
I have not seen any line dancing at my area restaurants since way before COVID. And that suits me just fine. I'd rather they concentrate on taking my order and bring me my food!
I have not seen any line dancing in my state and I had asked one of the managers about it when I did a sit at the bar shop. She said she misses doing it but they have such a high turnover in staff, it is hard to get enough staff that knows how to do it. When I went away to bring my son to college in Massachusetts's, the line dancing had started and I had no idea what was happening and then it turns out they were right next to us. That was the one and only time i have witnessed it.

We are usually there an hour anyway. It just takes that long to eat and chat.
Is this change for the table only, or is it also on the bar? I have a bar job in the next three days, and it still shows 45 mins in the instructions.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
The following applies to Veterans of military service.

Two yrs. ago, the Nikster removed me from all assignments for which the MSC offered; I was fired. As TXRH was and is my favorite steakhouse, I began employing a different manner by which the "cat could be skinned."

In my area, all TXRHs offer veterans a 10% discount and the location nearest to my house has 20% off on Mondays; I parlay those discounts with the early bird menu pricing. Add in the absence of a report and flexibility of visit, I arrive either at opening or near closing to avoid the noise, and I can state most absolutely the Nikster did me a favor.
I wish there were some more TXRH in the Los Angeles urban areas. They are more on the "outskirt" areas like Corona, Moreno Valley, Oceanside, Hesperia. Nothing in the major cities within the LA Basin.

I try to do these when I'm traveling to other states.
Me and a friend who's birthday matches mine to the date and year surprisingly make it a point to have our birthday dinner there each year. I enjoy the place even though I'm not allowed to shop there anymore. (Thanks Nikki) I even got a 15% OFF e-mail from them this month.
What did you do to cause getting dropped as a TXRH shopper? The reports are EASY, and not too much narrative. I try do do at least one each month. There are several near me...
I asked to reschedule a shop. And then I asked to cancel a shop since I had planned it into route and the route didn't work out
receive 10/10 on the last report? I was told it was requested I no longer shop at TXRH with no reason given.

Thank you for your service ShopperBob..

I took my husband there on a shop a few months ago and being a proud Vietnam Vet, he promptly displayed his ID to the bartender before I could stop him. I was worried the big $1+ that came off the bill would cost me the shop due to a discount, but luckily it went through and was accepted with no mention. The server told us the discount couldn't be applied to the meal because it was the already the discounted early bird price.

MsJudi posts--The server told us the discount couldn't be applied to the meal because it was the already the discounted early bird price.

Bob replies--The only location I visit is the one nearest my house and on Mondays. As it is also only a mile from a mammoth Air Force base, they, and at least two other eateries, promote Military Monday with 20 to 25% off. As each location is independently owned, I would guess this is why the discount applies for the early bird menu.

That is odd.. Wonder how come you were ask not to shop TXRH any more?

Did the guidelines mention anything about you can't use discounts or anything like that?
Yes, the guidelines said you can't use discounts. Bob shopped on his own dime and is saving $ by using the discounts.

Gift cards were acceptable last year, but I would ask again. They seem to have an extra $5-10 offer when you buy $50 in cards.
According to my personal log, I completed my first TXRH shop in the summer of 2008. After submitting the report, I sent a letter to Robin concerning the military discount; she responded such was permissible. To be on the safe side, I saved her reply; after the Nikster fired me, I simply forgot to delete it.

In my case, though, I was ex-military. Robin would be the one to contact as to if the ruling in my situation would apply. In addition, I once read that some TXRH locations only discount for the vet. Most of my assignments were bar visits. This was by my choice, as it fit my lifestyle.
We went for lunch when it wasn't that busy and it was extremely difficult to stay 60 minutes. We basically sat around for about 25 minutes trying to run the clock down.
Yes, it is very awkward and difficult to stay for an hour when the food is delivered in 15 minutes. I tell my date to drink his beer very slowly.

Did one today. It was my first eligible date since my last one, but last day offered on this cycle. I didn’t realize Tue was Kids Night, and it was busy. My spouse and I are empty nesters, so it’s been awhile since we’ve eaten a meal surrounded by a bunch of excited kids. They were all hyped up on sugar and soda and screaming and using their balloon props as swords. It was a trying experience to stay there for the full hour.
Since they changed it from 45 to 60 minutes, will they know that you are the Mystery shopper
Sitting for extra time, taking up a table when you are finished with your meal is not beneficial to the restaurant and especially the server.

The quicker they can turn tables, the more money both the restaurant and server make. And it shortens the wait time for other customers.
I think they changed duration again. This new round says minimum stay 45 minutes in the shop description though the guidelines still state 60 minutes, so I'm not exactly sure which to follow.
Hints on MSC who does these now? I don't think its the same one as when I used to do them in a different state.
As far as I know, they have used the same MSC in my area for the last 15 years (at least).

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
