Are you anywhere near Birmingham? I googled and there are some Japanese restaurants with good reviews.
It's a Sassie company. Hope it's around for a long time. I don't want a short time project.

It's the MSC that is offering e-gift cards for another client's shops. The Benihana shop near me is still open but I am not interested in this round. Too short notice.
Too many requirements. Sit here. Order this. Get dessert. Way too complex for mediocre food and little fee. Way back in the day, these reimbursed only $80, so that’s a big improvement. Regardless, I’ll pass.
complex? order alcohol at bar. appetizers, entree and dessert and do NOT sit at hibachi grill table. yeah...that's real tough to follow.

There are much tougher shops to do than is.

I haven't been to Benihana in over 10 years. I'm willing to give it a shot with a $200 reimbursement. I'm not saying I would do this regularly (until I evaluate and see how good/bad it really is).

Do not sit at a Hibachi table? So where do you dine? At the bar?

I used to do these Benihana Shops years ago. It was somewhat enjoyable as I got to take some family members. BUT....the place in my neighborhood was gross once I got to view the dining room in the twilight hours. DIRTY. At night, it was dark, lively and you really couldn't see the nastiness. Never did one again.
I don't understand how they expect us to do any shop on such short notice. There is one right around the corner from me but the only days available were the day posted and the next day.
The report wasn't that bad. More questions than a BJ Brewhouse report. I found the reimbursement to be enough ($200). I would do it again.

Personally I think they are not asking enough (or the right questions) for the client. If I was Benihana, I would be interested in some data that was not asked for or requested on the report.

Such as?

There's not a Benihana anywhere near me, so I haven't seen what is (and isn't) included in the form.

If your path dictates you walk through hell, do it as though you own the place. -unknown
That was the main reason I was not interested in this round. Who knows? Perhaps the client just placed the shop order?

Some shoppers have someone (such as a spouse) readily available to do a last-minute dinner shop. More power to them. I do not.

If these shops were self-assigned, I would check with my sister. I was not about to bother her when I was not sure I would get the shop if she agreed.

Good question, but do we want to give the MSC ideas? Its owner visits this forum.

I'm aware that there are tougher shops. I just got a $100 fee (no reimbursement limit) for a dinner job last weekend in the Bay Area. It's a much better expenditure of my time. I only do 2 dinners out a week now.

I'm glad you enjoyed it (really). I guess that there are more dinner jobs with bigger fees if you are in Northern CA? I see the So Cal jobs go quickly, while the ones up here sit and get bonused.
same company as bjs?

They are back again. Seems more confusing this time. I did one last time. Report was fine. Food was not that great. Will pass this time around.
I see looking at my December shop, my reimburse was nearly $150 on that shop. They cut the reimbursement quite a bit. But if you jump thru the hoops for the extra screenshots, you can earn an extra $15. If I remember correctly, the alcohol drink was like $15. And back then, I had to sit in the room where no one wants to sit.

Isn't the point of Benihana visit to sit at the big table with others while they cook in front of you?
Yep we prob have lots of jobs here in socal but it seems impossible to.land them where I live. Any decent shop is gone immediately at base I usually miss any local shop as I am not an early riser? The msc keep sending me offers of jobs the claim are on my neighborhood that are up on No. Cal.or in mtn .communities 300.miles away . Most are 500.muled

Quoting myself. All I had to do was verbalize it and put it out into the universe. Welcome back to the 2002 reimbursement.

Sorry about that.
