Panda Express

Boy, the MSC has hit a new low with this one. Not being able to order a drink…seriously? What a load.

If your path dictates you walk through hell, do it as though you own the place. -unknown

Been that way since at least the summer, maybe longer. Totally ridiculous. My workaround is to hit up a convenience store just before the shop and BYO.
I just ask for a water cup and drink water with the meal.
I would not want to drink any of those sugar/carbonated drinks from the Panda fountain. I have shopped them for more than a dozen years and have always BYO bottle of water. I put it in my back pocket with my shirt untucked. That gives them a chance to upsell a drink add-on.
Doggie, that started in March of this year..
They serve PEPSI which is an inferior drink anyways. It's a sign of cheapness. That is why Costco switched to Pepsi. They promised to not raise the hotdog combo above the $1.50 price...so they had to reduce expenses and got rid of Coca-Cola for the cheaper Pepsi brand.

For a dine-in visit...I am there max 10 minutes after getting food. I can get a drink somewhere else if I'm jonesin' for carbonation. For the drive-thru and online order...why do I need a drink?

Hunh? No they don't. All of the locations that aren't in an airport or some place like that serve Coke.

I guess they changed at some point? I used to think they were on Pepsi. I just hate Pepsi so much that I associated with Panda and Pepsi. I just checked online at the closest location to me and see they are using Coca-Cola products. So i give them kudos for not serving Pepsi.

I don't know why I thought they were linked to Pepsi. Maybe I did that to convince myself that I was okay not having a drink on the shop because it was a drink I would not have wanted.

I know Taco Hell (bell) is Pepsi unless that changed recently :-P
Panda just raised prices for their dishes in my area. It's now over $10 to get a bowl. Over reimbursement again. Ugh.

`Pepsi owns Taco Bell. there won't be any coca cola products at any taco bell. And all of the Panda Express stores sell Coca Cola products here. I never bought a soda at a Panda Express in CA, so I can't say if the one in Riverside that I used to go to had Pepsi or Coke.

What Morzdep said, unless you find one at an airport or other institutional setting.

Pepsi Max/Zero is actually pretty good though, when the machines work right.
I was in a foul mood once and told a waiter I would rather drink toilet water than have a Pepsi. smiling smiley
When I did one with the new MSC, I was able to get a drink with my meal. This was before they changed the guidelines.

When I go out to eat, 95 % of the time I will get water.. Unless the MSC requires you to get a drink then I will get a tea.

I have not done one in several months.. I am sad that they fee went down sad smiley
I prefer water with my meals- coke or pepsi just fill me up and make me feel bloated. Water healthier no I have no issue with no soda on shops.
Pepsi vs Coke...for a long time years ago I preferred Pepsi because they had Pepsi One which I liked. A few years later Coke came out with Coke zero so i went back to drinking whichever they had. Now I find many machines just have Diet Pepsi or Diet Coke and not the Zero or One choice both of which are far superior to the diet formula. I do not drink sugared sodas and usually opt for water anyway.
